Angelina Jolie‘s kids are facing another change. One of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s eldest kids just made another name change, after the initial decision disappointed her father.

Shiloh debuted her new name as “Shi Joli,” for a choreographer credit per a press release for Isabel Marant’s capsule collection with Net-A-Porter. The name is a shortened version of her legal name, “Shiloh Jolie,” after she removed Pitt from her surname following a judge’s ruling in August 2024. She applied for the name change right on her 18th birthday in May, and Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt legally became Shiloh Nouvel Jolie.

“Shiloh hired her own lawyer and paid for it herself, so Angie doesn’t know and can’t speak for it,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. However, the name change allegedly made a mark on her father who was “devastated” and putting on a “brave face.”

Her father sees the name change as “more than a name change,” a source told Us Weekly. “It was a symbol of a deeper estrangement that has been brewing for years,” the insider claimed, with another source alleging that he’s “finding it extremely difficult to come to terms with” the name change. An insider also reported that, their five kids — consisting of Maddox, 23, Shiloh, 19, Zahara, 20, Pax, 21, Knox, 16, and Vivienne, 16. — don’t “have much of a relationship” with their dad, who is “not ready to give up on them.”

The second name change also comes after the news that the Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood actor broke his silence about his divorce from Jolie. In an interview with GQ, he didn’t “think it was that major of a thing.” “Just something coming to fruition. Legally,” Pitt told the outlet.

The Mr. & Mrs. Smith stars separated in September 2016 after news broke that Jolie had filed for divorce. The divorce was finalized in December 2024 after eight years. “More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family,” Jolie’s lawyer James Simon told People in a statement. “This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.”
