Miley Cyrus Just Shaded Liam Hemsworth in Her New Album Release After Calling Their Marriage a ‘F—king Disaster’
Miley Cyrus isn’t finished with shading her ex-husband. After the release of her highly anticipated album Something Beautiful, she made a quippy remark about Liam Hemsworth.
In a signing event at Rough Trade in New York City, Miley Cyrus signed a fan’s vinyl with the message, “The Best Liam.” The fan, whose name was also Liam, shared the interaction on X. Some of her fans took the moment to be super “iconic,” with one diehard Miley stan writing that she’s the “most unserious woman ever.” “she is so funny 😭 GOD I missed this shady Miley so much…,” another fan wrote.
The interaction comes days after she subtly addressed her relationship with Liam Hemsworth at a Spotify Q&A. “I think when my house burned down, that was the best…that was the biggest blessing I’ve ever had in my life actually,” she said when a member of the press asked her about what she would tell her younger self. “And losing everything and being able to rebuild and to be able to be purposeful and choose every piece that I’m going to collect or also just about the people in my life.”
“And I guess for me, when my house burned down, a lot of my relationships—” she paused, before continuing, “also burned down. And that, again, just led me to such magic and to have so much gratitude.”
Miley and The Hunger Games actor married in 2018 shortly after their Malibu home burned down. The ex-couple were in a on and off relationship from 2010 and subsequently divorced in 2020. Her album Endless Summer Vacation, which included the Grammy Award-winning song “Flowers,” is filled with references to their turbulent relationship. The recently inducted Disney Legend is currently in a relationship with musician Maxx Morando.
She also referenced how awful her relationship with Liam was in her monumental Lollapalooza performance in 2022. “Honey, I hope your marriage goes better than mine,” she told a recently engaged couple at the festival. “Mine was a f–king disaster!”
