Glen Powell’s Ex Finally Addresses Rumors He Cheated With Sydney Sweeney: ‘Did They Hook Up?’

Glen Powell’s ex-girlfriend, Gigi Paris, is finally speaking out on rumors he cheated on her with his Anyone But You co-star, Sydney Sweeney. Paris, who split from Powell in April 2023 after three years together, slammed her ex in an interview on the “Too Much” podcast on June 10.
While Paris didn’t name Powell or Sweeney by name, she did address rumors they had an affair while filming 2023’s Anyone But You. (Sweeney, for her part, was engaged to her fiance Jonathan Davino at the time.)
“It was just, this is what I have to do for my job. I had two options. I could either pretend like I was going along with everything and have everyone wonder, like, ‘Are they hooking up? Are they not hooking up? Is she OK with this? What the fuck?’” Paris said. “Or stand up for myself and say, ‘No, I’m actually not OK with this, and I’m walking away.’ So that’s what I decided to do.”

Paris went on to tell the podcast that she felt “shattered” by how the rumors played out in the media. “I just wanted respect, especially if it’s gonna be public,” she said. “Like, don’t make an ass out of me. Like, just don’t make a fool out of someone you’ve been with for over three years talking about forever with. Just have some decency, you know?”
Paris continued, “And at the end of the day, it was like, well, work comes first. And if that’s the case, power to you, that’s your priority. I gotta walk away. What sucked was how it was handled. I felt like I was just fed to the dogs.”
During the podcast, Paris recalled asking Powell why he didn’t deny the Sweneey romance rumors at the time. “Where are you when you just need to stand up and say, ‘No, I would never cheat on my girlfriend. I wouldn’t do that.’ That’s all that needed to be said. And that wasn’t said. Never once,” she said. “It was serving them for their PR. Later on, it turned out that it was all, I don’t know if there was a relationship there or not, but then they came out to say it was all a PR scheme at the expense of our relationship. Like, it was just crazy.”

Paris also told the podcast that she hopes Powell and Sydney do “end up together” after everything they went through. “Just to sell a movie or not, who knows? And I honestly hoped that they’d end up together, because I was like, at least it would make it worth it for me, you know? I hope they are in love or whatnot,” she said.
As for the final straw in her and Powell’s relationship, Paris revealed that the two broke up after a tense phone call. “I got a phone call from him right when I was about to go to Australia to work — all this shit was coming out on the Internet,” she said. “And he called and said, ‘The producers and I have discussed that I think it’s best that you don’t come to visit.’ … And that’s when I hung up. And I was like, ‘This motherf*er is done to me.’”
Paris confessed that the call “broke” her as she realized the conversation was the end of her and Powell’s relationship. “I thought we had hope, like, maybe when I got there that, like, things would maybe get better. But once I got that phone call, I just knew it was done. I had lost whoever that person was that I loved,” she said.
During the podcast, Paris also addressed Sweeney’s split from Davino in March 2025 after seven years together. “Like I said, like, I hope that if [Glen and Sydney] are meant to be, that they’re meant to be. It’s really none of my business anymore,” she said. “Like, that’s what I really wanted the end to be, is to just to walk away from that, because it’s a fucking circus. Like, the way that they handle things for headlines or whatnot, like, I don’t live that way. So you do you. It’s none of my business anymore.”
Powell addressed rumors he and Sweneey were together on the Today show in April 2025. The interview came after Sweeney attended Powell’s younger sister Leslie’s wedding in Texas that weekend. “You know, timing is everything in this world,” Powell said, laughing. “[Leslie] and Syd are obviously great friends and it was a hell of a wedding.”
Powell, who was a groomsman at the wedding, referred to himself as the “master of ceremonies.” He also gave a speech at the wedding and spent time with both his sister and brother-in-law, whom he described as “the best guy.” “You know, the Powells know how to do it right, and so all the people that love her were there,” Powell said of the wedding guests, including Sweeney. “The Powells know how to crank it up!”
Before the wedding, Powell and Sweeney were also seen together at the restaurant Joe Leo Fine Tex Mex in Dallas. Powell’s mom, Cyndy, also claimed that her son and Sweeney were “definitely not together” in an interview with The Daily Mail in April 2025. [There is] nothing going on behind closed doors,” Cyndy said, calling the rumors “silly.” “We love Sydney. We’ve considered her just a really, really good friend. We all were together so much, and we haven’t seen her in a long time. She’s really a friend and we all enjoy her.”
Sweeney, for her part, also denied the rumors in an interview with People in December 2023. “I mean, we sold a rom-com,” Sweeney said, admitting that the two played up their flirty relationship to promote the film. “We were just filming a fun, amazing movie.”
