Sofia Richie Finally Addresses Rumors Her Husband Is Cheating on Her as Fans Beg Her to ‘Divorce Him’
Sofia Richie Grainge is taking to social media to address some unwarranted rumors. The model has been subject to cheating allegations after a viral TikTok spotlighted her marriage with Elliot Grainge.
In a TikTok posted on June 5, Sofia and Elliot made a playful TikTok video about comments and social media posts that were criticizing their relationship. “Get that coin, sis,” he read at the beginning of the video. Other comments he read out included, “Why wouldn’t she want to be single again?” and “They got married?”
The couple laughed at more comments, and Elliot read out, “She already secured the baby. Sofia has a rich dad as well, she should divorce him and take his child support money.” They even addressed the cheating rumors when Elliot read, “That? Cheating on her?” to which they agreed that the comment was “mean.” They concluded the roast session with “What am I? Shrek?”

The model captioned the post with a quip: “I had to break it to my husband that he’s not the peoples princess.” Many of her fans applauded the way they approach edhaters. “NOW this is a way that we should be clearing up rumors every single time. I love this,” one fan wrote. Another added, “People honestly forgot how hurtful the things they say can be. That’s terrible, poor dude.” A social media user concurred, “this is the best way to deal with gossip that I’ve ever seen. perfect no notes.”
The cheating rumors stemmed from a blind item posted by @celebritea.blinds3, where a source alleged, “Speaking of sleeping around, this offspring of a permanent A list singer is getting cheated on by her husband although she wouldn’t leave him because she does not want to be single again.”
The model and music exec tied the knot in a lavish, star-studded ceremony on April 22, 2023. “I love Elliot,” her father, musician Lionel Richie, told Access Hollywood on April 26, 2022, shortly after his daughter’s announcement. “I’ve known him since he was 12 … It was one of those things where I don’t have to go back and check out the kid. I know who it is.” Elliot’s father is Lucian Grainge, the chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group. They welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Eloise Samantha Grainge, on May 20, 2024.
Sofia went Instagram official with Elliot in April 2021, just days after Entertainment Tonight first reported that the pair were dating. On April 6, an insider told the site that the pair “have been friends for years and Elliot is also close with Sofia’s brother, Miles. It’s very nice for Sofia to date someone who her family approves of and likes.”
