After his tumultuous split from pop superstar Katy Perry, all eyes are on Orlando Bloom‘s relationships. The Pirates of the Carribean actor has also been in a very public relationship with Australian model Miranda Kerr.

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom started dating in 2007 and announced their engagement in June 2010. They were married the following month. Kerr gave birth to their son Flynn on January 6, 2011. The two split in 2013 and continue to co-parent their son, even during his relationship with the “E.T.” singer.

In her podcast Moments, Kerr even admitted that she adores Perry more than her ex. “We go on holidays together, we celebrate all the important milestones. I mean I love her. It would be safe to say I love her more than Flynn’s dad,” Kerr said. “[Perry] helps me deal with him because she can deal with him and I’m so grateful that she’s there because it just takes the pressure off me.”

Why Did Miranda Kerr & Orlando Bloom break up?

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom seemed to breakup because of irreconcilable differences. “It was the right thing to do; we weren’t bringing the best out in each other,” she told NET-A-PORTER’s The Edit,.

Though separated, the two appear amicable to raise their son. “We’re going to be in each other’s lives for the rest of our lives,” Bloom told Katie Couric. “There’s no question for the sake of our son and everything else, we’re going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn.”

He continued, “life doesn’t always work out exactly as we plan or hope for.”

He explained the rough transition from marriage to bachelorhood to The Mirror. “There was a period of instability when his mum and I were separating and we both made conscious choices that we would be around as much as possible to help that whole transitional period.”

He continued:”‘Now things have settled nicely, everybody is in a good place. There’s a rock-solid security there and therefore more freedom to explore professionally that I have in the past few years.”

Why did Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom break up?

Similarly to Miranda Kerr, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom broke up due to busy schedules and differing opinions. The ex-couple share a daughter Daisy Dove, born 2020.

“They have barely been together for a decent amount of time, without distractions, for many, many months,” the insider told Page Six about the breakup. “It has been ‘go, go, go’ and they thrived when they enjoyed a more settled life, being together in the same place for a length of time. But that has just not happened.”

The source continued, “It is quite a lot more complicated than that. They have been apart for their longest amount of time since they have been together. Anyone in long term relationships goes through challenges, and many times when things appear to be done, couples reconnect and make things work.”

A source told Us Weekly in June 2025 that, while Perry is “upset,” she’s “relieved” that she and Bloom never got married. “Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable. It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life,” the insider said, referencing Perry’s 2012 divorce from ex-husband Russell Brand.

The insider also revealed that Bloom and Perry’s breakup has been a “long time coming” as things between them “have been tense for months.” While Bloom attended Jeff Bezos and Laura Sánchez’s wedding, Perry has been “keeping busy” on her Lifetimes tour and is “distracted” by work.

Bloom’s attendance at the wedding has apparently been a point of contention with Perry. “Katy feels like they’re really her friends more than his, and yet he’s the one going to the wedding,” the Daily Mail also reported. “And he’s insistent that he goes, which annoys her because he’s not particularly close to either of them. She feels like it’s a ‘f*** you’ to her from him.”
