Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom Just Got 1 Step Closer to Getting Back Together Amid Reports It’s ‘Hurtful’ for Her to See Him With Other Women
For the first time since their public split, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom reunited. The two were spotted on a yacht in Italy with their only daughter.
Photos obtained by TMZ showed the ex-couple co-parenting their daughter Daisy Dove on Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s yacht. The megastar missed out on the Amazon billionaire and the former journalist’s wedding due to obligations with her Lifetimes tour in Australia. The gossip site reported that the former couple “left the yacht briefly heading to shore with Daisy Dove for some ice cream and shopping and they were all smiles on dry land too.”
The sighting comes days after reps for both Katy and Orlando made a statement about the state of their relationship. “Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting,” their reps said in a statement to different publications like Page Six and People. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
A new report by Page Six claims that the two actually parted ways earlier this year, and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor has been living up the bachelor life ever since. A source told the outlet that the actor was flirting with women on a recent trip to Miami. “Orlando was definitely with girls in Miami,” the source said. “He’s been not subtly out and about,” they added, calling his flirting “unapologetic.”
A source close to Katy revealed how Orlando’s actions affected her on tour. “It’s disappointing,” the source dished. “It’s hurtful and annoying. If he’s going to behave like an acting-up adolescent, that’s on him. She’s going to continue to work and take care of Daisy.”
“Katy knows that he’s free to do whatever the hell he wants to do, she hoped he’d do it a little more discreetly and thoughtfully,” the source continued. “So she’s disappointed and sad.”
Shortly after the Bezos-Sánchez nuptials, Orlando got candid in his Instagram stories. He posted several quotes, “Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself.” He also posted another quote that read “Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.”
But he also sent a message about moving on and starting fresh, with a quote from Gautama Buddha. “Each day is a new beginning. What we do today is what matters most.”
