Tom Brady Just Responded to Claims Sofia Vergara Is ‘Too Old’ For Him After Reports Kim Kardashian Is Also Not His ‘Type’
Every time a big celebrity couple divorces, there are questions about what comes next. Especially when half of that couple has already very clearly moved on. That’s the case with Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen. The latter has already moved on, but Brady is still very much single and ready to mingle. Or is he?
After the former NFL QB was seen getting friendly with Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara, rumors that the two might be dating started swirling. TMZ quickly squashed those, explaining that though the two were having fun together, they were not dating. Vergara and Brady were among celebrities seen aboard Ritz-Carlton’s new superyacht, the Luminara, in early July. Martha Stewart, Naomi Campbell, Ricky Martin, Kate Hudson, Nina Dobrev, Shaun White, Kendall Jenner, among others, were also present on the two-night journey that departed from Rome on July 1 for Malta.

However, Page Six reported that an insider said Brady asked if he could sit next to Vergara at dinner. Later, she shared a photo of herself and Brady on her Instagram. Singer J Balvin is also in the snap, kissing Vergara’s forehead as she laughs and Brady smiles at the camera. Not exactly definitive, but the kind of circumstantial evidence people latch onto and start dating rumors over. And TMZ’s denial only served to open up another avenue of conversation. If the two truly aren’t dating, is it because Brady, 47, thinks Vergara, 53, is “too old” for him? Their age difference isn’t that big, but this is Hollywood, after all.
A rep for Brady denied this to People. “Tom never said, nor would he ever say, anything like this. It is pure fiction,” the rep said.
Brady hasn’t really had any big profile relationships since his divorce from Gisele Bündchen, with whom he shares two children. Brady also shares a son, Jack, with ex Bridget Moynahan. Vergara, meanwhile, has also remained single since her split from Joe Manganiello in 2023. She has one son, Manolo, with her ex Joe Gonzales.
This all comes after Brady also sparked dating rumors with Sydney Sweeney after the two attended the Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez wedding, something that reportedly angered Kim Kardashian, who was previously linked to Brady a couple of years ago. According to Star magazine, Kardashian was looking forward to the celebration in Venice because “she has a huge crush on him.” However, Brady reportedly doesn’t feel the same. That’s a lot of relationship drama for a single man.
Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop reported Kardashian is just not Brady’s “type.” This has less to do with looks and more to do with personality and the way they approach life. Brady is reportedly “intensely private,” while Kim Kardashian is known for being a “paparazzi parade.” And that’s not just something Brady seems interested in, particularly because his line of work easily allows him to stay private, just the way he likes.
So, for now, it seems like Brady isn’t interested in Kim Kardashian and isn’t dating Sofia Vergara. Instead, he’s happy to just remain single for a while longer, even if his ex has happily moved on.
