We May Have Gotten an Update on if Taylor Swift Will Be a Bridesmaid at Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco’s Wedding Amid Reports They’re Trying to ‘Accomodate’ Her
Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez are besties. That much is known. The two have been thick since 2008, and they have gone through a lot together. In fact, one could say they’ve grown up together. And now, as each of them moves into a more settled, mature phase of their lives, the two of them being there for each other is still an expectation. It has, after all, been this way for years.
So, there’s, of course, an expectation that Taylor Swift will be part of Selena Gomez’s wedding to Benny Blanco. And now that plans are becoming firm, there’s more interest I what role Swift could possibly play. “Selena and Benny’s wedding is going to be a two-day event in Montecito in September,” according to the Daily Mail.

Only close friends and family are expected at the wedding, and invitations have reportedly already been mailed. “Everyone invited has been asked to bring overnight bags to stay for the weekend,” the Daily Mail. This is, of course, to be expected when so many of your close friends are celebrities. “Although it’s for friends and family only, many on the friends list are huge celebrities, including Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Selena’s co-stars from ‘Only Murders In The Building,’ and music superstars who are Benny’s friends and some he’s also worked with.”
But Gomez is making the wedding about herself, while making sure to accommodate those she loves. “Selena loves being engaged but she has been dreaming of being married forever,” another insider told The Daily Mail. “At the end of the year, it gets busy, not only for them, but also for everyone they want to attend.”
A third source told Daily Mail: “Selena is not having her wedding to accommodate Taylor, but she wants her to attend and she would love for her to be able to go with Travis.” So far, there are no details on what exactly this means and if Swift will play a bigger role in the wedding than just a guest. But it would not be surprising to see Swift be part of the ceremony, as she joked when the engagement was announced.
When Gomez posted a picture of her engagement ring, Swift was one of the people who left a comment, saying, “yes I will be the flower girl.” Selena captioned the engagement pictures with “forever begins now..” with the two enjoying Taco Bell on a romantic picnic. And though it’s unlikely Swift will indeed be a flower girl, maybe bridesmaid could be a possibility.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have been dating since December 2023, and they’ve done things their way from the beginning. In fact, the singer confirmed her relationship in the comment section of a PopFaction post that read, “Selena Gomez Seemingly Confirms That She Is in a Relationship,” to which she commented, “Facts.” She also added: “He is my absolute everything in my heart,” and also replied to one fan: “then why has he been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. The end.”
Now, the two are getting married. We’ll have to wait and see what that wedding looks like and who is involved.
