Another POTUS has joined the conversation. The Barack and Michelle Obama divorce rumors have reached every corner of the world, and George W. Bush has his own thoughts about it.

George W. Bush’s daughter Jenna Hager Bush revealed that her father was totally baffled by the thought that the 44th President would cheat on his wife. “I remember I called my dad and I was like, ‘Have you heard this rumor?!’ And he was like, ‘I don’t believe it. It’s not true,’ ” Jenna said on Today with Jenna & Friends. “And I was like, ‘Okay, love you.'” She also took note that her father was “kind of mad” that she “even called to even ask.”

“He was like, ‘That isn’t true. I know them and it isn’t true,’ ” Bush Hager added. “Sometimes when you’re in the public eye like that, those rumors start.”

The comment comes days after Barack Obama was a guest on an episode on IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson, and the couple discussed their relationship and poked fun at the absolutely false rumors.

“Welcome to IMO, look at you,” Michelle said to her husband, with her brother Craig joking, “Wait, you guys like each other?” The joke went on. “Oh yeah, really, huh. That’s the rumor mill,” she replied. “It’s my husband, y’all.”

“She took me back!” Barack Obama got in on the joke. “Now don’t start,” his wife replied. “It was touch and go for a while,” he joked back. Later in the conversation, Robinson said it was nice to have them both in the same room, to which Michelle Obama replied, “When we aren’t, folks think we’re divorced.”

Michelle later had to clarify where she stands in her relationship with the former POTUS. “There hasn’t been one moment in our marriage where I’ve thought about quitting my man, and we’ve had some really hard times. We’ve had a lot of fun times, a lot of adventures, and I have become a better person because of the man I’m married to.”

“Don’t let me start tearing up now,” was the former President’s response.

The rumors peaked when Barack appeared solo during President Jimmy Carter’s funeral and President Donald Trump’s inauguation. The Becoming author dispeled all of those rumors in her podcast. “My decision to skip the inauguration, what people don’t realize, or my decision to make choices at the beginning of this year that suited me, were met with such ridicule and criticism,” she explained. “People couldn’t believe that I was saying no for any other reason, that they had to assume that my marriage was falling apart, you know.”

She also elaborated on the speculation about her marriage during NPR’s Wild Card with Rachel Martin. “It’s like, OK, so we don’t Instagram every minute of our lives,” she said. “We are 60. We’re 60, y’all. We just, you just are not gonna know what we’re doing every minute of the day, you know?”
