Every time Travis Kelce mentions Taylor Swift on his podcast, we know it’s going to be a hoot. On the latest episode of New Heights with his brother Jason, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end talked about the iconic ’90s film Pretty Woman starring Julia Roberts.
The Garry Marshall-directed movie was the subject of the New Heights movie club, and it left quite an impression on the brothers. “I’m not gonna lie, when we first started, I really didn’t know that it was about her being a hooker,” Travis said. “Didn’t know Julia Roberts signed up for that one.”
The brothers talked about the plot and they praised the film, giving it high ratings on each of their categories. But when it came down a “feminism score,” they seemed to be unsure.
“I think the only way to gauge it is to flip the script,” Travis said. “I think we need to make Pretty Man. We need to have a CEO billionaire woman be so high-class that she doesn’t know where she’s going, she doesn’t know how to drive a car.”
Jason later chimed in with the perfect response. “Travis, you’re living Pretty Man right now,” the retired Philadelphia Eagles player declared. “You are pretty man. You’re living your own Julia Roberts straight down.”
Travis took the comment in stride and added, “I’m wearing nothing but a tie when Taylor comes home,” referring to the iconic scene in the movie. He also mentioned how he met Julia at an Eras Tour stop in June 2024. “That’s why me and Julia Roberts — when I met Julia — it felt like we were the same person, so cool,” Travis said. “She spoke to me in this movie.”
He kept giving on to the bit, “All right. Now it’s all I’m doing. I’m just the NFL stripper. That’s it. Just an NFL hooker, man.”
It’s just a small slice of life that we’ve seen with Travis and Taylor in the past couple of months. The famed Hollywood couple is keeping their lives lowkey after his Super Bowl loss and ending her Eras Tour run. “They are making fewer public appearances together because [their relationship] brings too much unwanted attention,” a source told Us Weekly. “There isn’t trouble in paradise.”
