Travis Kelce Might Have Dropped a Convincing Clue He’s Engaged to Taylor Swift
Speculating about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship is almost like another sport at this point. Their relationship has been in the spotlight ever since the singer’s relationship with actor Joe Alwyn fizzled and she started dating NFL superstar Kelce. The fact that the two were spotted together multiple times, and that Swift famously attended a lot of Kelce’s games, made it even easier for fans to invest. Swift had, after all, been pretty famously private in her previous relationship.
The two have been taking some time away from the public eye recently. In fact, one source told Us Weekly that the two were eager to experience a more “normal life” after the Eras Tour and the Super Bowl. Another source added that the couple “needed time for themselves,” explaining, “Taylor and Travis are doing great, and they’re still very much together and in love. They’re just taking a break from the public eye.”

What has happened during that time outside of the public eye? Well, people have been speculating that the two might get engaged for a while, and now eagle-eyed fans think they’ve got proof that the two have finally taken that step.
Kelce posted on Instagram, sharing pictures of what he called his “adventures this offseason,” and of course, a lot of them featured his girlfriend, Taylor Swift. One particular one saw the two of them sitting at what looked like a restaurant. In that picture, both Kelce’s lock screen and Swift’s lock screen are visible. And the contents are interesting, to say the least.
Swift had a picture of what looked to be the pair’s recent trip to Italy, as Kelce was wearing the same shirt as pictures taken of them on a boat. Kelce’s lockscreen, meanwhile, also featured the two of them, but in that picture, Swift seems to be holding up her hand. You know, as you would do if you were showing off an engagement ring.
Could it be? And would we really find out this way? The two have been dealing with engagement rumors for years now, so we’re not going to start discounting them now. In May, a source told The Daily Mail, “Everyone is just waiting for Travis to ask her parents for her hand in marriage, her parents will say yes, and they can’t wait for them to get engaged. Nothing seems to be imminent, but it will 100 percent happen. Taylor and Travis are treating this relationship as their last relationship, and when they get engaged, when they get married and when they start a family, it will be exactly when it is meant to happen.”
Now, the question of whether it did happen now, or if Swift is perhaps playing around with Kelce’s Super Bowl ring or something more innocuous, remains unanswered. But there’s certainly a feeling that, if the two aren’t engaged at this exact point in time, we probably won’t have to wait too long before the news is yes. And with a new NFL season about to start, sooner rather than later would make sense.
