Meghan Markle was noticeably absent from one of her favorite artists’ concerts. Lots of Prince Harry and the As Ever founder’s close friends attended Beyoncé’s last Cowboy Carter concert in Las Vegas, but why weren’t the Duke and Duchess there?

Gayle King shared a photo on Instagram with Oprah Winfrey, Kerry Washington, Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, and Tyler Perry. Some fans thought that it was odd that Meghan Markle wasn’t included, as much of the famous attendees were her neighbors. One person commented, “WAIT! But where is Meghan? I see all her BESTIES showing up at the Beyoncé concert, but no Meghan!”.

Another person commented, “Oprah, Gayle, Kerry Washington, Kris Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, even Tyler Perry! But NO MEGHAN!! Oh oh, is there trouble in Montecito Paradise??” Meghan’s friendship was highlighted when the longtime talk show host aired their bombshell interivew, and Tyler Perry had opened up his house to Harry and Meghan when they decided to move to the US.

Rest assured, Meghan and Harry did have the time of their lives at the Cowboy Carter concert held in Los Angeles. She posted a picture of them attending the concert in May, and captioned it, “About last night…. Thank you @beyonce and team for an amazing concert (and a very fun date night)! All love”

The absence also comes after some royal experts think that Beyoncé’s mom Tina Knowles was shading Meghan in her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder. Tina talked about being in constant communication with her daughter, “We have disagreements about things, but it’s her business.”

She emphasized talking to her daughter beyond her place in the entertainment industry, “I’m helping with the business because I just want to leave this earth knowing that she, other than entertainment, is going to be okay,” she added. “It’s her business, so she gets to win.”

Royal expert Sarah Hewson told The Sun that Tina’s comments were a deliberate swipe at Meghan. “There was one particular line that stood out for me when Tina said, ‘of course we disagree as family, and when we’re in business together and we’re working together, there will be disagreements.'” She pointed out the irony in Meghan agreeing with the statement as the Duchess doesn’t talk to her father Thomas Markle, and the obvious strain between Harry and Charles. “It really stood out because she used the phrase wasted time and Meghan agreed and said, ‘yes, it’s wasted time,’” Bronte Roy said.

However, when it comes to Harry and the royal family, it seems like they’re one step closer to reconciliation. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has,” Harry said about his father who was diagnosed with cancer in 2024. “He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.” He also added that his father should be open to reconciliation and help solve his security problem. “There is a lot of control and ability in my father’s hands,” he said. “Ultimately, this whole thing could be resolved through him. Not necessarily by intervening, but by stepping aside, allowing the experts do what is necessary.”

The father and son have seemingly put the first steps forward to making amends when Harry, who gave his press reps, Meredith Maines and Liam Maguire, the green light to meet with the cancer-stricken king’s secretary, Tobyn Andreae.

As for who is a proponent of the reconciliation, it’s none other than Meghan Markle herself. A source told NewsNation that the Duchess “realizes she miscalculated when she orchestrated Megxit and then basically smeared the Royal family in the Oprah Winfrey interview and the Netflix docuseries.”

However, there’s still a long way to go. ”The royal family does not need Harry or Meghan,” the insider said. “But Harry and Meghan need the royal family… they are only valuable individually if they are tied to the royal family. Being ‘Royal’ translates to money and deals for them. If [Harry and Meghan] are cast aside, they have no value.”

The source continued, “Regardless of what’s happening, there does need to be an open channel of communication between the two households, but there is a lack of trust. Whether and how that is repaired is the problem.”
