Tom Cruise Just Stood by His Rumored GF After She Was Accused of Shading His Ex-Wife Nicole Kidman’s Appearance
The Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas relationship seems to be a thing. The pair has yet to confirm they’re actually together, but context clues are doing the brunt of the work here. The couple was first linked in February 2025 after being spotted together at dinner. At the time, sources called it platonic, but considering the two have been hanging out together recently, including at the Oasis reunion show at Wembley Stadium on July 26, it seems things might have turned romantic.
Another big hint? The fact that Ana de Armas liked a pretty negative post about her alleged boyfriend’s ex, Nicole Kidman. The post in question threw shade at Kidman for speaking out about cosmetic surgeries. Alongside a comparison of Kidman from 1996 to 2024, there were screenshots from a Marie Claire interview with the actress. “When you keep it real #nicolekidman,” @celebmess wrote in the caption.

In the interview, Kidman was specifically asked about posts that speculate about her appearance. “To be honest, I am completely natural. I have nothing in my face or anything. I wear sunscreen, and I don’t smoke. I take care of myself. And I’m very proud to say that.”
The aforementioned post said, “So she hasn’t used Botox? ‘No,’ she replies, exasperated. ‘Anybody can do anything to themselves, their bodies. I have no judgment on it. I personally believe in physical health because of the way I was raised. I can’t go in the sun; I’m fair-skinned. That was a nightmare when I was a kid, but it has some benefits now. It’s that simple. I still had one skin cancer on my leg, because I put my legs in the sun.” To close it out, a meme from The Brady Bunch of Marsha saying, “Sure, Jan,” in a condescending tone. Clearly shade. And Ana de Armas liked it.
If anyone was expecting a reaction from Cruise about it, then what happened afterwards speaks pretty loudly. After all, the two were spotted showing some PDA while on a Vermont getaway during the weekend. And walking hand in hand down the street in casual clothes doesn’t exactly scream this couple isn’t seeing eye to eye on something.
Back in February, People reported that the two were just “discussing potential collaborations down the line” and that the two “appeared to have no romantic connection, just friends.” We can probably say that’s not the case anymore.
As for Cruise and Kidman, the two announced their divorce in February 2001 with a press release that focused on the “difficulties inherent of diverging careers which constantly keep them apart.” In 2002, Cruise told Vanity Fair about the divorce, “She knows why, and I know why. She’s the mother of my children, and I wish her well. And I think that you just move on. And I don’t say that lightly. I don’t say that with anything.” The Mission: Impossible star then went on to date and marry Katie Holmes, with whom he shares daughter Suri. That marriage also did not last, and now it seems like Cruise has moved on again. Whether this relationship lasts, we’ll just have to wait and see.
