Instead, she will get money from a small life insurance trust that Hulk took out, of which Brooke is one of the beneficiaries. Brooke is reportedly happy with the decision and will use that small amount of money for her children’s college fund. Hulk also has another son, Nick.
Brooke broke her silence about her father, with whom she had no contact, on July 29. “When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him. I felt it before the news even reached us,” Brooke wrote on Instagram. “I know he’s at peace now, out of pain, and in a place as beautiful as he imagined. He used to speak about this moment with such wonder and hope. Like meeting God was the greatest championship he’d ever have.”
“It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand,” she said about the rift. “My father was confiding in me about issues weighing on his heart, both personal and business. I offered to be a life raft in whatever capacity he needed. I told him he had my support. I begged him to rest, to take care of himself.”
The musician noted that his health problems were a significant cause of her setting boundaries with her father. “He was telling me these things, being so vulnerable with me and heard my pleas, then suddenly something shifted, and he made a choice to walk the path that clearly tore at his spirit,” she continued. “I felt a disconnect. What followed were respectful disagreements that took an emotional toll on me.”
She concluded the post, “I know in my heart I did everything I could. He knew I would run through a burning building for him. And in many ways, along the path of life, I did. He knows how deeply, how hard and how purely I loved him. I am at peace knowing this.”
The singer previously addressed the speculation why she did not talk to her father, “What I’m about to say is not pointed at either person,” she wrote on Instagram in March 2025. “I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood. Sadly, it would frequently turn physical.”
“I was expected to,” she added, “and DID forgive massive blows to my career and personal life, nasty behavior, omissions of truth, blatant lies, manipulation, and repetitive errors in hopes of renewing previous family bonds. I’ve been used as a pawn, a buffer, and been treated like l’m downright stupid too.”
She continued, “I so badly wanted to see good in them, protect, help, and start anew-just to be disrespected again and again. I longed for a normal family, but it never came to fruition.”
“Life is so precious,” she concluded. “I want so much to be able to enjoy what’s important…my children and my life I have worked so hard to create and protect-and I hope everyone can give me the chance to do that without injecting any more poison into it.”
According to The Sun, Florida law states that Hulk’s wife, Sky Daily, will get 30% of his estate, whether or not he updated his will or trust.
