Lauren Sánchez Accused of Trying to Take Over Meghan’s Empire After the Duchess Was Reportedly ‘Consumed With Jealousy’ During Her Wedding to Jeff Bezos
Lauren Sánchez is now a very rich woman, which means everyone is very interested in what she will do next. There have been reports that Bezos is interested in his wife having a role in the new Bond movie, and even that he wanted to buy Vogue for her. But there have been no concrete details about what exactly Sánchez will be doing next. But now, it looks like we finally know what’s coming.
The Daily Mail is reporting that she is planning to venture into the lifestyle industry, and she’s coming for Meghan Markle’s As Ever crown. She’s reportedly interested in having her own streaming show, likely on Prime Video, similar to Markle’s With Love, Meghan. The outlet also reports that “capsule collections and lifestyle brands” might be part of the business plan.

Meghan Markle famously signed a Netflix deal after stepping away from the British royal family alongside Prince Harry. The duo’s collaboration with the streamer has produced With Love, Meghan, Polo, and a docuseries Harry & Meghan, with a second season of Markle’s lifestyle show already filmed and set to debut this August. Markle’s As Ever brand has also launched products such as wine, honey, and tea.
The deal she and Prince Harry had signed with Netflix is set to expire soon, but the two have just signed a new deal with the streamer, though one that is very different from the one they had before. Instead of upfront money, it gives Netflix a ‘first look’ at shows the couple wants to produce. However, this new deal now includes her lifestyle brand.
“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As Ever brand,” Meghan said in a statement when the new Netflix deal was announced. “My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”
The fact that Amazon’s founder’s new wife is modeling her next business move after Markle’s is ironic, considering there had been reports about the two before, tied to the
Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding, which Markle and Prince Harry did not attend and were reportedly not invited to.
At the time, RadarOnline.com reported that Markle was “consumed with jealousy” over Sánchez, who was said to have “everything” and live a “fantasy life.” To add to that, a source told Hollywood insider Rob Shuter: “Lauren is everything Meghan thought she’d become. Instead, Meghan’s peddling preserves while Lauren’s draped in diamonds on the Cannes red carpet.”
Whether Sánchez ends up moving forward with a lifestyle brand idea remains to be seen. Not that long ago, the Daily Mail reported that Bezos was looking to buy Vogue Magazine for Sanchez and that Anna Wintour herself was brokering the deal. That has yet to come to pass. But that doesn’t mean this won’t happen, either. The circumstances certainly favor it.
