Kate Middleton’s health has been a subject of even more debate than King Charles’ health. And though the Princess of Wales reported she was in remission months ago, that doesn’t mean the scrutiny has ended. Instead, it has now changed to people taking notice of how she’s balancing her recovery and her family, while worrying about whether she’s taking on too much.
Now, there’s something new to worry about. A serious “alert” has been issued, which affects everyone living in the Windsor state. This includes Adelaide Cottage, where Kate Middleton and Prince William live with their kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The U.K. Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and the Met Office have both issued an “amber heat health alert,” due to what’s being called unprecedented heat waves occurring across the UK, the BBC reported.

But it’s not just a general warning; Hello! magazine reported that the location of Adelaide Cottage could put the family at a particular risk.
“These fires are a stark reminder that the U.K. is not immune to the dangers of extreme heat,” Steve Cole, director of policy at The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), explained to the outlet. “With temperatures soaring and vegetation drying out, the risk of wildfires increases dramatically, even in urban and coastal areas.”
All of this comes as recent reports indicate that Prince William and Kate Middleton are planning to relocate from Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Castle estate to Fort Belvedere in Windsor Great Park. The move is not expected to happen anytime soon, though, so for now the family will still have to deal with this alert while at Adelaide Cottage.
The potential health concerns of this particular alert are important for Kate Middleton, who recently spoke about her cancer recovery with patients and staff members of the NHS. “You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment,” she explained, but also added that, “Treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal,’ but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult.”
“You’re not necessarily under the clinical team any longer, but you’re not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to,” she explained. “And actually, someone to help talk you through that, show you, and guide you through that sort of phase that comes after treatment, I think is really valuable.”
RadarOnline.com also recently reported that there has been growing concern about Middleton’s weight. “Kate is painfully thin, and people are worried it’s a sign that she is struggling with her recovery from cancer treatment – or worse, she’s had a relapse,” an insider told the outlet.
Reports indicate Middleton weighs around 90 pounds, far below a healthy weight. “She’s been through so much, and she wants to be there for the royal family and do her part, but clearly she’s not well,” the source added. “Word is she’s having a difficult time and has no appetite and is losing weight as a result. She’s gaunt and has little to no muscle tone. Kate always had an athletic figure, but she’s far from it now.”
All these things considered, this amber heat health alert is something to take very seriously, particularly in Adelaide Cottage.
