Orlando Bloom’s ‘Needy’ Behavior Revealed as Sources Claim He Has a ‘Bruised’ Ego From Ex Katy Perry’s Romance With Justin Trudeau
It’s tough out there for anyone, including Orlando Bloom. The Pirates of the Caribbean actor is reportedly “massively struggling” in the dating pool after his shocking breakup from Katy Perry.
“After he and Katy split, Orlando assumed he could have his pick of any woman he wanted,” a source told RadarOnline. “But it hasn’t worked out like that – women aren’t taking him seriously and find him over the top, needy and really intense, so he’s been coming up empty.”
According to the source, one rejection was a big blow to the actor. Bloom allegedly approached Sydney Sweeney at Jeff Bezos’ wedding and the Euphoria actress turned him down. “That one really stung,” a source said.
Rumors between the two emerged right when they were spotted at the Venetian nuptials shortly after Bloom and Perry announced their breakup. According to TMZ, Sweeney is “very much single” despite “swirling speculation.” Sources also added that she isn’t “interested” in dating anyone following her split from Jonathan Davino, and is “focused on her career and enjoying life.”
Bloom is also rumored to be feeling really blue about the “ET” singer go on dates with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. “Seeing Katy with Justin has really bruised Orlando’s ego,” the source dished. “He can tell she’s thrilled about this new chapter, and it’s unsettled him.”
Another source said: “He’s looking back now and realizing he could have shown her more kindness. Watching her thrive like this is hard for him to take.”

However, his ex’s romance seems to be dying down a bit after the Daily Mail reported that their communication has “waned in the past two weeks.”
“She’s busy, he’s busy,” an insider told the outlet. They apparently texted “nonstop” in July. But “they have a lot going on, and the newness has worn off.”
“There’s nothing negative about it,” the insider added. “They just aren’t in constant communication anymore. That could change, but for now, it is what it is. It has cooled off.”
