For Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the move to the US after they stepped back as senior royals came with a big challenge: that of setting up their own charitable endeavors and finding a way to make money on their own. We know how they did that. A Netflix deal, producing several shows, and starring in a documentary. But they also surrounded themselves with trustworthy people.
Now, it seems like one of those people who helped shape what their legacy would be outside of the British royal family is moving on. Travalyst, a “global initiative with the ambition to change the impact of travel, for good,” which is led by Prince Harry, is losing a big name: Sally Davey, the chief executive. Davey is leaving Travalyst after five years in the role.

Davey’s farewell statement read, “I will always be grateful for your support, including as my confidant and guide during this personal decision to step back.” She also added, “I’m proud of what we’ve built together. And while I’ll be stepping down as CEO, I remain as committed as ever to Travalyst’s mission.”
This isn’t the first high-profile departure for Travalyst, as the chairman also left earlier this year and Harry’s chief of staff departed last summer. According to a Daily Mail source, this resignation is a “huge blow to Travalyst” as Davey had been “crucial in its development.”
All of this comes as Prince Harry’s upcoming trip to the UK to attend the WellChild Awards is reportedly set to include a reunion with his father, King Charles. The two have not met in person since February 2024, after the King was first diagnosed with cancer. A few months ago, Harry brought up his desire for reconciliation during a BBC interview.“I would love reconciliation with my family,” he said, adding that, “There’s no point continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has. He won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.”
Then, aides for the two met in July. And now, in September, it looks like the stage is set for father and son to finally get together. “A meeting is feasible, and both sides are open to it,” a royal insider told Us Weekly. “This marks the first tentative steps of a reconciliation.” The report also indicates the likelihood of the meeting happening is “high,” but the expectation is that it will be a brief meeting, not an “in-depth” discussion about the issues between the two.
“This meetup is make-or-break,” the insider added. “If it goes well, it could lead to other family members being open to better relationships. If things get leaked negatively, then it’s done, and there’s no chance [for peace].”
It’s especially important as rumors have indicated Prince William might not be totally on board with the reconciliation, or that, at the very least, he’s wary of his brother. For now, the meeting seems to be on, and whatever happens there might end up affecting Prince Harry’s life in the US and his decisions going forward.
