The feud between King Charles and Prince Harry was starting to feel like it could be mended, after reports that the two were set to meet in Harry’s latest UK visit. But the family drama doesn’t stop with father and son, never has. Prince William has also been involved, particularly as he isn’t on great terms with Harry these days either, and is seemingly against the reconciliation between his father and his brother.

Harry has already arrived in the UK for the annual WellChild Awards, his first time back home since April, when his request for security was shut down. His wife and children did not accompany him, as Prince Harry himself had said they would never return to the UK without the added security. Reports indicate he will meet his father during this brief visit, but not his brother. Prince William has a full schedule, with official outings that directly clash with Harry’s confirmed events, GB News reports.

Prince Harry is set to attend the WellChild Awards on Monday night and will make an appearance at the Community Recording Studio in Nottingham on Tuesday. William is commemorating his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, on Monday, and has events on Tuesday and Wednesday as well.

“At the end of the day, as he’s (Harry) no longer a member of the institution, he doesn’t feel bound to de-conflict his diary with the institution,” a source told the Times of London about William’s schedule.

But Charles is another matter. “King Charles is battling cancer,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital. “The very public royal rift has been a source of grief for him. It has meant that he has not seen his grandchildren for years. Harry and his father are not speaking… Obviously, reconciliation, especially when illness is involved, is highly desirable. But for it to work, there must be mutual trust.”

That directly contradicts William’s feelings, according to royal expert Ian Pelham Turner. “There have been many reports in the British press that William is still extremely angry with Harry and does not want his father softening his position by meeting with him or allowing contact,” he said. “[It is understood] that King Charles feels it is his Christian duty to welcome Harry, Meghan Markle and their family back into the fold.”

King Charles’ former personal butler, Grant Harrold, even told The Post about the Prince of Wales, “William is worried that with the stuff Harry has said, he could use it to his advantage again … like he’s already done. I think, sadly, they don’t trust him. It’s a shame, because Harry wants them to.”

All of this, plus fundamental differences on what the monarchy should be, have reportedly caused a rift between King Charles and Prince William. The Daily Beast reported that their relationship is “tense, difficult, formal, and fraught,” and not just that, apparently, “the vast majority of their communication mediated by their private secretaries.”

Even though Prince William is not on board with the Prince Harry reconciliationThe Daily Beast reported that William has expressed his concerns and will let his father make his own decision. “Ultimately, William is a loyal soldier. He respects his father’s rank, and he respects his father’s right to make his own decisions, and he won’t make a fuss if it happens,” sources said. “But he thinks a Harry meeting is a terrible, terrible idea.”

Family drama. It’s the one thing we can’t escape.
