King Charles won’t be inviting his brother, Prince Andrew, to Donald Trump’s state dinner, reports say. The disgraced royal and his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein have reportedly caused trouble for the royal family in the days leading up to the President’s second state visit.

On Sept. 4, 2025, Rep. Nancy Mace called for the arrest of Prince Andrew for his ties to the convicted pedophile. “Now seems like a good time to discuss prosecuting Prince Andrew for any and all potential crimes on US soil,” Mace posted on X. “A cold dark cell. Prince Andrew in handcuffs. Sends the right message.” Per Page Six, the message is “causing embarrassment” for the royal family and Charles is reportedly embarrassed by the statement. The criticism comes after the FBI said it would not release any further info from their files on the dead billionaire.

The outlet also confirmed that Andrew would not be attending the state dinner, as he is not a working royal, but other senior royals, such as Prince William and Kate Middleton, will attend. The Duke of York is also reportedly never attempting to re-enter the US due to his fear of arrest or prosecution.

Andrew has had a couple of run-ins with Donald Trump due to their connections with Jeffrey Epstein. Royal historian Andrew Lownie’s book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York detailed some key moments about Andrew and Epstein’s ties. According to the book, both Trump and Prince Andrew attended Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween party in the year 2000, with Trump quoted as saying, “Andrew’s not pretentious. He’s a lot of fun to be with.”

“Shortly afterwards, and clearly good friends, Trump and Andrew were overheard at an event to discuss Trump’s plans for a golfing complex in Scotland, talking entirely about ‘p—y,’ with the American producing a list of masseuses for the prince,” the book says.

The book also claims that Andrew would use Epstein’s driver, Ivan Novikov, whenever he was in New York. Novikov is quoted as saying: “Whenever Andrew was in town, I’d be picking up young girls who were essentially prostitutes. One time I drove him and two young girls aged around age 18 to a hotel. Both girls were doing lines of cocaine. Prince Andrew was making out with one of them.”

Lownie’s book has also been edited to remove claims about Melania Trump’s relationship with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and how he allegedly introduced her to her now-husband. The claims against Prince Andrew, which make up a whole chapter, remain. Both Donald and Melania Trump claim they were introduced by Paolo Zampolli, a modeling agent, at a New York Fashion Week party in 1998 and that Epstein had absolutely nothing to do with the two of them meeting.

First lady Melania Trump threatened legal action against the son of former President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, for “defamatory” remarks for the same allegations. However, Biden’s son refused to back down. “F–k that. That’s not going to happen,” he said.

Meanwhile, the first lady and King Charles remain cordial to each other and even go as far as exchanging letters. According to Hello!, she said, “We kept in touch through letters, exchanging thoughts and ideas regularly.” The two share common interests like “architecture, gardens, and the arts.”
