The “Love on the Brain” singer posted photos of her daughter on Instagram. She’s seen holding her baby swaddled with a dress and pink bows, and the next slide featured a pair of baby ballet shoes. “Rocki Irish Mayers. Sept 13 2025 🎀,” she captioned the post. The “Fashion Killa” rapper and singer are parents to two sons: RZA, 3, and Riot, 2. The name obviously follows a pattern since the family is filled with R names, but what does their daughter’s name mean?

What does Rihanna & A$AP Rocky’s third baby’s name mean?
Rocki Irish seems to be an homage to A$AP Rocky’s moniker. The rapper’s real name is Rakim Mayers. According to American Songwriter, his mother gave him the nickname “Rocky” when he was a kid.
Days before they presented their baby girl to the world, A$AP Rocky made a prediction that his girlfriend would have a girl. “I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl,” he told Elle. “Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know.”
In a recent interview with GQ, he joked that he would name his third child Denzel after the iconic actor Denzel Washington asked him if he would name their third baby after him. “Boy or girl, that baby’s got to be named Denzel now,” he told the outlet. “Denzel, no matter what. The first female come out named Denzel, it’s lit. We got it figured out.”
Rihanna told Interview magazine in 2024 she wanted to try for another baby in hopes of having a daughter. “I don’t know what god wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course if it’s another boy, it’s another boy,” she said.
The “Breakin’ Dishes” artist announced her pregnancy with her third child at the Met Gala in May 2025.
A source told People in May 2025 that Rihanna and Rocky wanted their kids to be near in age, which is why Rihanna’s pregnancies have been so close together. “Rihanna has always wanted a big family, so she couldn’t be more excited. Rihanna and Rocky are thrilled to be growing their family and they can’t wait to give their boys another sibling,” the insider said. “They wanted to have their children close together in age, so that they could grow up together and share a close bond.
