Melania Just Sent a Telling Message About Her Relationship With Donald Trump Months After Addressing Rumors They’re Secretly ‘Separated’
Just like every time they breathe apart from each other and they don’t post on social media weekly to celebrate their love, there are rumors that the Obamas are separated, there are constantly rumors about US President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump, as well. And these rumors usually start from a little thing, like all rumors do.
The latest one seems to have started after Melania Trump was seen pulling away from her husband when he attempted to hold her hand after they disembarked from Marine One after their return from the UK state visit, with the President appearing visibly exasperated by her refusal, according to The Daily Beast. The outlet also reports this comes just days after the couple were seen having a heated exchange on board the presidential helicopter.

Now, do we know what happened? No. But is it enough for people to make up their own ideas and speculate? Of course it is. Especially since it comes after reports that the two slept in separate beds at Windsor Castle.
Back in May, author Michael Wolff told the Daily Beast Podcast that Trump and Melania Trump are effectively “separated,” and “live separate lives.” The White House dismissed Wolff as a “lying sack of s–t” and “a fraud,” but speculation about the relationship has continued in the upcoming months. In fact, speculation about the relationship has sort of been a thing for years. This is, again, not uncommon for high-profile couples. The same has happened with the Obamas, with basically all royal couples, and is basically the norm with any celebrity couple. The more people are interested, the more speculation there will be.
Part of the speculation might be because the President and the first lady don’t make that many appearances together, though the two did appear together during the UK State visit, and then during Trump’s UN speech the week after. That speech got a lot of attention not just for what Trump said, but for an incident earlier, as the escalator Trump and first lady Melania got on stopped as soon as they stepped into it. So they were there together, that much we know. There was footage of the incident.
Other than that, the two attended the state banquet together in the UK, and then even there followed their own separate agenda, which is pretty much what they do in the US and what Presidents and first ladies generally do. If the speculation is somewhat more pronounced when it comes to Melania Trump, it perhaps has to do with how little, in general, she has been seen publicly in comparison to other first ladies.
CNN reported that the first lady has been seen for only 19 public days in President Trump’s second term in office. In comparison, at this same point in his previous presidency, she’d already been seen for 40 days, over twice as much. That is considered especially strange, particularly since her son is now off to college, and would presumably not need as much of her time. Either way, it’s hard to speculate what this means about her marriage, and it is unlikely we would find out anything while President Trump is still in office, anyway. This is just one of those things we will have to wait and see about.
