People say a lot of things when you have just gotten married and your husband is announced to be involved in a lingerie business with an actress who is highly renowned for being a sex symbol. And a lot of those things might not be true, but once the public runs with an idea, they really run with it. But now Lauren Sánchez is sending a clear message about where she stands with Sydney Sweeney amid reports that her husband is in business with the actress.
Sánchez attended the actresses’ birthday bash alongside her husband, and she did so while dressed in theme. That much was obvious on Sweeney’s own Instagram post from the event, which showcased the space theme. “[W]elcome to planet syd 👽🛸🚀,” she captioned the Instagram carousel, complete with NASA decor and a birthday cake featuring a starry sky.

For the party, Sánchez wore a silver metallic mini dress while Bezos wore a Blue Origin security jacket. And, considering a picture with Sánchez made it into the actresses’ Instagram carousel, we’re going to assume things between the two are just fine. Or, that business is going well enough that they’re both willing to pretend. Hollywood and all.
Also in attendance? Sweeney’s casual beau, Scooter Braun. People confirmed that the two were “casually dating. “She’s having fun with Scooter and enjoys dating him,” a source close to the actress told the outlet.
The source also said that Sweeney “had a great time celebrating her birthday with” Braun. “He’s easy to be around and an intriguing guy,” the source added. “[Sweeney] is back to work now though. She feels very blessed to have such an amazing career. She’s very focused and super hard working.”
Both Sweeney and Braun were guests at Bezos and Sánchez’s star-studded wedding, which took place in Venice back in June and featured celebrities like Oprah, Leonardo DiCaprio and the Kardashians.
Since then, the two have been busy. Really busy. Sánchez has announced a new children’s book, The Fly Who Flew Under the Sea. The book is a sequel to her first book, The Fly Who Flew to Space, which was released in 2024. Bezos, meanwhile, has been hard at work on Blue Origin, but it was also recently announced that he’d invested in Sydney Sweeney’s lingerie line through Coatue, a private equity fund fueled by Bezos and Dell founder and CEO Michael Dell.
That, at least, explains why Bezos and Sánchez now seem to be tight with Sweeney. Tight enough to be at her birthday party, and for Sánchez to even make it into Sweeney’s birthday carousel. In this era of social media, that’s next-level friendship. And it’s all kind of ironic considering reports when Bezos’ investment was first announced said, “There’s definitely some tension. Lauren didn’t realize just how involved Jeff was in this. It’s… awkward.”
If it was ever awkward at all, it’s certainly not anymore. Now it’s just friendly for all the parties involved.
