Keith Urban Reportedly Dating a ‘Younger Woman in the Business’ as Nicole Kidman Feels ‘Betrayed’—She ‘Knows Who She Is’
Divorce is already bad enough. Divorce after almost two decades is worse. If people’s lives become intertwined after just a few months, imagine after 19 years together. That’s what’s happening with Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, and the reports that Urban has already moved on are certainly not making the proceedings any easier. Or making him look any better.
“The rumor is that he’s with a younger woman in the business,” a “Nashville music industry source told Daily Mail. “It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery.”

It would explain the timeline and the recent reports. According to People, “their split is turning dramatic,” with Kidman feeling “hurt and betrayed” by Urban. “Keith has not been honest,” the source added. “She wanted to save their marriage and believed that she could, but it seems he’s already moved on.”
That scoop is also confirmed by Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop, who reported from a source that, “Nicole wanted to fight for them, but Keith had already checked out—and she knew why. It wasn’t about distance, schedules, or bad habits. It was about another woman. And Nicole knows who she is.” Another insider added, “She’s not naïve. She heard the stories; she saw the signs. At some point, the truth becomes impossible to ignore. She’s not going to live as anyone’s second choice.”
News that there might be another woman was first reported by TMZ. “All the signs point to the fact Keith is with another woman,” a source told the gossip site. “Let’s just say, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it.” At the time, a source close to Kidman said, “It’s all over Nashville.” Seems like at least that part is true.
There’s no confirmation of who the woman is, but people are pointing to a recent Urban performance as a clue. During the performance, as Urban goes to sing the song “The Fighter,” which was originally about Kidman, he changed the lyrics to reference his new guitar player, Maggie Baugh.
Urban originally sings, “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter,” but the version shared has Urban singing, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player.” Not exactly confirmation of anything, but considering it was Baugh herself who shared the clip that has people talking on Instagram, it’s also impossible to ignore the implications.
Kidman and Urban got married in 2006 and share two children, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Kidman filed for divorce on Tuesday, Sept. 30, in Nashville, where the couple has resided together since 2007. She listed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, and coincidentally, did so right after the first reports that Urban was dating another woman had started to surface. The first reports about Kidman and Urban only spoke of a separation and focused on the couple’s desire to work things out during the holidays.
As we know, that didn’t come to pass. And apparently, there was a reason.
