Anne & Andrew’s Relationship Takes Dramatic Turn Amid Reports She’s ‘Driving Him Up a Wall’—He’s ‘Ridiculed’

It looks like Prince Harry and Prince William aren’t the only siblings in the British royal family to have drama amid reports of Princess Anne and Prince Andrew’s soured relationship.
A source told Radar Online in a report published on October 2, 2025, Andrew is annoyed by his older sister’s positive reputation in the British royal family amid his own notoriety for his links to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. In 2024, Anne carried out 474 engagements—more than other member of the British royal family—despite a concussion that left her hospitalized in June. Andrew, on the other hand, was stripped of his military titles and the use of HRH in 2022 after his ties to Epstein became public.
“Anne represents everything the monarchy is supposed to stand for – hard work and respect. For Andrew, who has lost all of that, it’s a bitter pill to swallow,” the insider said

The source noted Anne’s state visit to Dublin in 2024 as an example of how well-liked she is by the public. During the visit, she was asked by the Irish president to sign a visitor’s book, to which she asked, “Am I wasting an entire page of paper?” The Irish president responded, “You deserve the whole page.”
The insider added, “That moment summed up why people admire Anne – she’s modest, witty, and devoted to service. Those are qualities Andrew doesn’t have, and he’s painfully aware of it. It stings and is, quite frankly, driving him up the wall.”
Another source explained how Andrew and Anne differ in their attitudes as royals. “Anne never plays at deference, and people respect her for that. Andrew does the opposite and ends up ridiculed,” the insider said. Another source explained, “Anne doesn’t see leisure as important – she simply keeps working without fuss.”
The source also explained what it is about Anne’s reputation that “eats away” so much at Andrew. “What stings Andrew is knowing Anne is praised as the family’s most respected royal, while his name is tied only to disgrace. It eats away at him,” the insider said.
The insider also noted Anne’s role at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral and King Charles’ coronation, where she rode on horseback as Colonel of the Blues and Royals, as more examples of how respected she is in The Firm. The source said, “Anne stole the show at the coronation – she was poised, authoritative, and real. Andrew couldn’t hope for that kind of moment now. It shows the gap between honor earned and honor thrown away.”
