Keith Urban‘s divorce from Nicole Kidman is clearly impacting his stage presence. The “Somebody Like You” singer has made some eyebrow-raising moves during his tour.
At a performance on Saturday, October 4, Keith made a noticeable change in his 2002 hit “You’ll Think of Me.” “Take your memories, I don’t need ’em / Take your space and take your reasons,” are the lyrics he usually sings. Instead, as captured by a TikTok video, he changed it up with a more explicit comment, “Take your memories, I don’t need ’em / Take your space and all your stupid bulls**t reasons / You shouldn’t have treated me this way.”
A lot of fans expressed their concerns in the comments of the TikTok. “Keith Urban crashing out on stage was not on my 2025 Bingo card,” one user wrote. Another person observed, “Omg yea he’s def crashing!!! I’ve seen him twice..wtf this isn’t normal.” Other people were concerned about his wellbeing, “I have been a fan of his from the beginning of his career. I don’t know the details of his break up. but I’m afraid he is in a really dark place and not doing well.” Someone pointed out, “He is obviously angry.”
According to some sources close to the couple, Keith’s demeanor has definitely changed since the split. “Keith looks as if he’s out to try to publicly embarrass and hurt Nic,” a source told the Daily Mail. “This is a total 180 from the Keith I know. It seems like a switch has gone off in his head to awaken this vitriol he appears to have for her.”
News of their split broke on September 29, and Kidman filed for divorce the next day. The Baby Girl actress was reportedly “blindsided” by their split. “Keith has not been honest,” a source told People. “She wanted to save their marriage and believed that she could, but it seems he’s already moved on. It’s devastating to her. She’s shocked.”
The insider noted that “their split is turning dramatic” and that Nicole is “hurt and feels betrayed.”
The lyric change comes after TMZ reported there might already be another woman in Urban’s life. “All the signs point to the fact Keith is with another woman,” a source told the site. “Let’s just say, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it.” A source close to Kidman said, “It’s all over Nashville.”
Rumors swirled that the alleged girlfriend in question was his guitarist Maggie Baugh. Urban changed up lyrics in the song “The Fighter,” which was originally about Kidman, right after news of their divorce.
Urban originally sings, “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter,” but the version that’s been making headlines has Urban singing, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player.” However, Baugh has a boyfriend and isn’t romantically linked to the country singer, according to the Daily Mail.
