Kate Middleton is currently facing mixed feelings when it comes to her husband’s former aunt, Sarah Ferguson. The Princess of Wales developed a close friendship with the Duchess of York after battling cancer, and now she’s reportedly pressured to cut ties with Sarah Ferguson.
Prince William already has aggressive feelings towards Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Fergie, but Kate seems to be hesitant to cut the cord. “Prince William thinks Andrew and Fergie should be removed from Royal Lodge,” a source told RadarOnline after Fergie’s leaked emails to Jeffrey Epstein were released. “He thinks it’s the only way to protect the monarchy and wants to draw a line under the scandal once and for all.”
However, the decision is impacting Kate deeply as a “heartbreaking dilemma.” “However, Kate is panicked that more sordid bombshells might come out if the Yorks are pushed too far.”
Charles was reportedly more reluctant to exclude his brother from the family, but it’s all changed ever since the new revelations from their ties to the convicted sex offender. “Charles feels he cannot allow the family name to be tarnished further,” the source continued. “At the same time, he’s very aware of the risks. The Yorks are unpredictable, and there’s real concern about what they might do next.”
Sources cite that Andrew might make the same move as Harry by publishing his very own tell-all memoir. Charles is reportedly “haunted by the memory of Megxit.” The King reportedly “worries if the Yorks are pushed, Andrew might retaliate.”
“There’s real fear he could go down the same path as Prince Harry,” the source explained. Andrew has already talked bout writing a memoir before. It could be devastating.”
The Duchess of York pleaded with her brother-in-law to not be pushed out of the Royal Lodge. “Fergie made a point of asking the King not to force her and Andrew out of the family,” the source elaborated.
The source implied that the “growing pressure” is pretty demanding for the Princess. “Kate cares for Sarah, but she can’t afford to be pulled into this and feels like this new web of lies could destroy the family. Her priority is her children, her health, and the future of the Crown.”
Despite her feelings, the source also argues that she has to put up a fight for the royal family’s reputation. “This isn’t a storm she can stand next to. Kate has no choice – she must put the monarchy first. Privately, Sarah believes that she still has friends in high places within the Firm, but Kate has now taken a step back.”
The sources comments come after The Times reported the King is set to keep both at arm’s length he would prefer the two to be “invisible” at future gatherings. Last year, King Charles reportedly asked Sarah Ferguson for help convincing Andrew to “do the decent thing” and stay away from the royal family’s Christmas gathering after reports of his close relationship with alleged Chinese spy, Yang Tengbo.
British royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News earlier this year that William wants to make sure Prince Andrew is “completely excluded” from the royal family. “[William is] very in touch with the public,” she said. “Every public opinion poll has Andrew at the bottom, reinforcing Prince William’s stance. Once king, no doubt, Prince William will ensure Andrew is completely excluded from royal life, as well as all public appearances.”
