The people who follow the British royal family get really, really excited about the possibility of adding new members to the family. And even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have, at this point, not been working royals for years, they are still subjected to the same scrutiny. Will they have another kid? Or is the family of four they have with Archie and Lilibet already complete?

RadarOnline.com reports that Markle does not want any more kids. “Meghan’s been very clear that she’s done having kids. She feels her family is complete and that having another baby would only complicate things at a time when her marriage and career are both in delicate balance.”

Like many women, Markle is now turning her sights somewhere else. “She’s focused on building her brand and maintaining independence – another child doesn’t fit into that picture,” the source added.

The question of another possible child was brought up after a jokey conversation with Chrissy Teigen during Season 2 of Markle’s Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. The conversation came as the two made flower jewelry for their children while discussing motherhood. After Meghan mistakenly mentioned a “Honsworth flower,” Teigen jokingly asked if that was the name of her secret third child. “I was like, ‘You have a kid named Honsworth?'” Teigen said.

“My child you’ve never heard of,” Meghan joked back, before adding: “By the way, if I could’ve kept a secret like that, I mean, impressive.”

All very lighthearted, but palace insiders say there’s more to it. “Behind the jokes, there’s a lot of real strain,” one royal source said. “Harry’s been talking openly about wanting more children, but Meghan’s adamant that two is enough.”

This, however, contradicts Prince Harry’s own words about the subject of children. “I think one or two kids is probably enough – I definitely think that. I know some people who’ve got five. I just say, ‘Well, that’s your own fault!'” Harry has said.

Recent reports about the couple have indicated there might be trouble in their marriage, with RadarOnline.com saying the “many cracks” in their marriage have now become “impossible to ignore.” Of course, that should all be taken with a grain of salt, considering the conflicting reports about their desire to have more kids, and the fact that Harry very recently stood 100% behind his wife after the controversy over her Paris Fashion Week video.

A source said, “It’s becoming clear that things aren’t as smooth as they once were. Harry’s started to reflect on some of the choices they made, particularly over how they left the royal family. He’s been admitting that the way it all played out has weighed heavily on him.”

Prince Harry does seem interested in a reconciliation with his family. He recently met his father, King Charles, for the first time in over a year, and there have been reports that the reconciliation could go further. He has even spoken openly about taking his kids back to the UK now that he and his father are on better terms. Whether that will really end up being the thing that drives him and Markle apart remains to be seen. For now, considering how many times their marriage has reportedly been on the rocks only for it to turn out fine, we’ll just choose to believe things are fine until proven otherwise.
