According to the Daily Mail the two “weren’t able to figure it out as a couple” and “ended up realizing that they should keep it professional,” explaining that they “wanted to save the future of their friendship and their movie.” Cruise and Ana de Armas star together in the upcoming movie Deeper.
The outlet also reports, “They got together to see if they would be able to work together, and that developed into something more, which neither of them expected.” Reportedly, de Armas found Cruise “hard to resist” but “like any good movie, it all comes to an end, and that was the case for Tom and Ana.”
Similarly, The Sun reported Wednesday that the two “aren’t dating anymore,” with an insider explaining that they no longer felt a “spark” and “realized they weren’t going to go the distance.”
Cruise and de Armas’ professional relationship is reportedly not going to be impacted by the breakup, with an insider saying that “their time as a couple has run its course,” and that they “are better off as mates” and will “remain good friends.”
