Meghan Reportedly Sees Getting ‘Snubbed’ From Taylor Swift’s Wedding as a ‘Personal Insult’—She’s ‘Gearing Up to Be Angry’
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce haven’t even had time to do much wedding planning—what with Swift releasing her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, and Kelce literally in the middle of the Kansas City Chiefs NFL season. And yet there are already reports about who they might invite to their wedding, and even who is upset about perhaps getting snubbed.
And RadarOnline.com says Meghan Markle is one of those people. The outlet claims that Markle will have a “meltdown of royal proportions” if she doesn’t make the guest list for the wedding, which is expected to be quite an event. Something to note is that other reports indicated Swift might invite Prince William and Kate Middleton. Talk about awkward reunions at unlikely places, if this does happen.

Markle publicly congratulated the couple and liked Swift’s Instagram announcement of her engagement to Kelce. The post was captioned, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
The outlet even claims Markle was upset Swift made the announcement on the same day the second season of her lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan premiered. As Ever, Markle’s lifestyle brand also had a new drop that day. But competing with Swift is basically impossible for anyone, which makes this report a little hard to believe.
A source told the outlet that Markle was “livid” that her launch was drowned out by Swift’s engagement. “She was furious,” the insider told the outlet. “She had been working for months to relaunch herself as the queen of lifestyle and empowerment, and then Taylor casually drops the biggest celebrity news of the year. Meghan was raging behind closed doors that her headlines were ‘stolen’ by the singer – but she still liked Taylor’s post to look gracious. It was through gritted teeth, no question.”
The source went even further. “If she’s snubbed, she’ll take it as a personal insult. She’s already saying it would be ‘a shame’ if certain people tried to keep her out, which is Meghan-speak for she’s gearing up to be angry.”
All these rumors aside, there is no real reason to expect Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are not close to Taylor Swift or Travis Kelce, to be invited. There isn’t even much of a reason to believe Prince William and Kate Middleton will. And though Swift has spoken of her desire for a big wedding, she cannot invite everyone. And she probably doesn’t want to, considering privacy matters.
Markle attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Los Angeles in 2023. At the time, she reportedly sent a handwritten note to Swift commending her “grace and authenticity.” But that’s not a very good reason for anyone to expect a wedding invitation. It is, in fact, as thin as the suggestion that Swift might invite Prince William and Kate Middleton because she met with William and his children backstage during her London show last year.
However, until we know details about Swift’s wedding for sure, we will likely have to continue to be inundated with reports such as this one. That’s one reason to hope the singer and her football player fiancé get started on wedding planning sooner rather than later.
