Prince William and Kate Middleton are moving to a new forever home, and the two have seemed pretty excited about their decision since the news that they would be relocating to Forest Lodge was announced. Renovations are taking place, and the place is being turned into everything the entire family dreamed of. Except now, there’s one problem that might be making them rethink the decision. A family problem.

Reportedly, the two are not too pleased about the fact that Prince Andrew is still living at Royal Lodge, with royal author Tina Brown explaining that the couple wants Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, gone.

In her Fresh Hell Substack (via the Daily Mail), Brown writes, “Unless Andrew can be persuaded to banish himself to a cottage on the Balmoral estate or a cushy villa on a Dubai golf course, his scowly, jowly visage will keep seeping back into the national consciousness.”

She added, “How do you disappear a 6-foot-tall, 190-pound, 65-year-old man in robust good health who has an iron-clad contract to live in the Queen Mother’s former mansion, a short neigh from Windsor Castle and just four miles from the new “forever” home of Prince William and Kate, who can’t abide him?”

The answer is, apparently, you can’t. Or not that easily. But even after Prince Andrew recently announced he would no longer use his royal titles, it seems like William isn’t done with him. The Sunday Times reports that when William is King, he is set to ban Prince Andrew from royal life entirely. That includes public and private events and state occasions, which include his coronation.

But what about state funerals? Brown raised the subject no one wants to talk about. “The thornier question, perhaps approaching faster than anyone is indelicate enough to discuss, is whether, in the fullness of time, Andrew will be allowed to attend his brother, the king’s, funeral.”

British royals expert Hilary Fordwich recently told Fox News Digital, “He will never be seen in public again with the senior royals. Prince William has been the force behind all of this, and he is right. Prince William is looking far more long-term at the viability, reputation and indeed existence of the monarchy.” She added, “His not offering an apology is beyond despicable! He should disappear completely now and never be heard of nor seen again.”

What does that mean for Andrew’s continued residence at Royal Lodge? RadarOnline recently reported that King Charles wants both him and Fergie removed from Royal Lodge. “The king feels deeply that Royal Lodge cannot remain a sanctuary for the Duke and Duchess of York. After everything that has come out, he wants them out. It’s not just about optics anymore – it’s about trying to preserve the integrity of the monarchy,” one insider said.

And even though Prince Andrew has a lease, and reportedly cannot be pushed out of the property unless he can’t pay for its expenses, Prince William reportedly feels the same.

“[William] also loathes Sarah, Andrew’s ex-wife, and can’t wait for the day when his father throws them both out. If Charles doesn’t, I guarantee you the first thing William does when he eventually becomes king is to get them evicted,” Andrew Lownie’s book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, says.

Just as with the titles, it took a long time, but it feels like things might have moved far enough that Prince Andrew might not be able to outrun the consequences of his actions any longer.
