Kate Middleton ‘Shudders at the Thought’ of Living Next to Prince Andrew After Reports the Disgraced Royal Might Move Into Their Old Home
Prince William & Kate Middleton might have an unwanted neighbor soon. After Prince Andrew removed his royal titles as the Duke of York, there’s a lot of pressure for the disgraced royal to move out of the Royal Lodge. However, it might come with a hefty price.
According to The Guardian, Buckingham Palace increased pressure on the prince to voluntarily give up the residence, which he cannot be evicted from due to a “cast iron” lease with the crown estate. However, a source told The Sun, that he wants a lot in exchange. “Andy is willing to leave, but these are his demands,” the source said. He is realistic and knows the writing is on the wall and that his time at Royal Lodge is up. If he must go then he has asked for Frogmore Cottage. Incredibly Sarah has said she wants Adelaide Cottage.
The source continued, “Sarah and Andy have lived together at Royal Lodge since 2008 despite being divorced and seen like they are still a married couple. It’s incredible that they are willing to go their own separate ways. But it indicates that they have been under immense strain this year and need a break from one another. It’s a fresh start for both.”
“Frogmore Cottage is too small for both and Adelaide Cottage is around the corner so they will see each other whenever they want. Both have space for their daughters Eugenie and Beatrice and their families to visit.”
However, a source divulged to Mail on Sunday that the future heir and his wife aren’t quite happy about it. “Catherine shudders at the thought of living so close to Royal Lodge while Prince Andrew is still in it.” They further alleged, “William wants him gone before they start to move in next week. It’s not about what Andrew doesn’t want to do anymore. It’s about what he’s going to be told to do.”
Another source alleged that Kate and William “had previously wanted to move to Royal Lodge—but Andrew insisted on staying.” They explained that their move to Adelaide Lodge was never the plan. But they were forced to because Prince Andrew wouldn’t shift.”
William & Kate’s family are preparing for their move to Forest Lodge, a secluded eight-bedroom home in Windsor Great Park, later this year. The move has been reported to be a part of William and Kate’s long-term plan to raise George, Charlotte and Louis away from the pressures of the palace.
