Well, they’re official! Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau just debuted their relationship months after her breakup with Orlando Bloom.
The “E.T.” singer and the former Canadian Prime Minister held hands after they were spotted by paparazzi in Paris. The new couple was seen leaving a cabaret show at the Crazy Horse Paris in photos obtained by TMZ.
Neither party has commented on the relationship. However, Katy Perry did allude to the relationship when a fan proposed to her during a tour stop in London. “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago.” The interaction came days after photos of Trudeau and Perry making out on her yacht were posted.
The hard launch also comes days after it was reported that Katy Perry’s ex, Orlando Bloom, is also seeing someone a “mystery” woman in London. “He has been keeping things low-key but is dating again,” a source told The Sun. “He’s been on a string of dates in Chelsea and it looks pretty chill, but he’s having fun. Right now, he’s keeping it casual.” News of their split was first reported in June 2025.
On their new romance, Katy Perry’s ex Orlando Bloom slyly reacted to the news by reposting a post from satirical site The Onion about how he was dating Germany’s Prime Minister Angela Merkel.
However, the move left a bad taste in Katy’s mouth. “Katy feels very let down and humiliated by Orlando, but she’s also realising that he wasn’t the right person for her. He’s showing his true colours and it’s really very hurtful and spiteful to her, especially as it probably means the end of any possible friendship with him in future,” and insider told OK! UK. “She hoped they’d both be mature after the break-up so she’s feeling really disappointed.”
Just like her ex, Perry isn’t looking to milk the publicity out of her relationship with the politician. “Katy is really into it. She’s very happy,” an inside source tells Us Weekly. “She’s trying to keep it low-key, and they’ve spent a lot of private time together. She’s not looking to publicize this relationship.”
