Melania Trump is protecting her son no matter what. The first lady opened up about Barron’s personal life and his role within the family in a 2018 interview with Sean Hannity.
In the interview, she described the 19-year-old as a “fighter” and firmly stating that “children should be off limits” when it comes to reporting on their family. “I protect him and I want to give him a life as normal as possible,” Melania said during her husband’s first term. “This is not a normal life. But I like to give him a normal life and protect him and give him the life that he deserves.”
“He’s very happy, he’s strong, he’s tough. He’s enjoying life in Washington,” the first lady said. When she was asked if Barron takes after her or her husband, she responded: “He has both qualities. He has a soft, beautiful heart but he’s a fighter, too. He’s very strong.”
The resurfaced interview comes amid reports that Barron’s parents, President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump’s marriage is not doing all that well. This started after Melania Trump was recently seen pulling away from her husband when he attempted to hold her hand after they got back from the UK state visit, according to The Daily Beast. The same outlet reported that the two previously had a heated exchange on board the presidential helicopter. There were also reports that the two slept on separate beds at Windsor Castle.
According to RadarOnline via The Mirror, Melania was “deeply shaken” when Donald used their son as a “political pawn” in a social media post attacking President Joe Biden and was a breach of trust that she found unforgivable.
