The shift in the dynamics of the British royal family, and particularly when it comes to Andrew, Fergie, and their daughters, will be noticeable as the recent changes come into effect. The former Duke and Duchess of York have been stripped of all titles, and Andrew cannot even be referred to as Prince anymore. But their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are still styled Princesses and HRH. So how will that work for the family?
After Buckingham Palace’s announcement that Andrew would have to vacate Royal Lodge and he would no longer be called Prince, royal biographer Robert Hardman, author of Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story told the Daily Mail’s Palace Confidential that this will bring a lot of changes.

“The King has exercised his Royal Prerogative with parliamentary and government approval, he’s talked to the Prime Minister about this.” Hardman explained, while also going into how this affects Beatrice and Eugenie. “They are still Princesses and HRH because they are the children of the son of a reigning Monarch.”
Reportedly, there was an attempt to protect them from the fallout. “All along, the King and other members of the family have been concerned that the sins of the family do not befall them. They are blameless, they have led a pretty upright life and are level-headed and very nice young women.”
But this still changes the game for them, with Hardman adding that the two are “unlikely” to ever become working royals, and will instead act as “essentially private citizens who are related to the King and occasionally turn up at Royal events.”
Hardman also confirmed that, since Andrew is no longer a prince, “yes, he probably will” have to bow to his own daughters, as the two still have a royal title. And the royal biographer is convinced Andrew is unlike to do so “happily.” The disgraced former prince has, after all, fought the latest turn of events for as long as he could and seemed convinced he would escape any sort of consequences for his own actions.
This comes as The Mirror recently reported that the siblings are very concerned about their father, specifically. An insider told the outlet, “Beatrice and Eugenie are lovely girls and they have been left bereft by this all. I would actually go so far as to say that they are even more disappointed in their mother than their father now.”
Fergie was recently involved in her own Jeffrey Epstein-related scandal, after it was revealed that she privately apologized to the convicted sex offender after publicly denouncing him in 2011.
“They are genuinely fearful for their father and have grave concerns about what he will do for the rest of his life. They also love their mother dearly, of course they do. She’s a wonderful grandmother, too, and they are deeply concerned about how this is all affecting her mentally as much as their father. But I think it’s fair to say the scales have also somewhat fallen from their eyes.”
