Nicole Kidman‘s acting roles took a toll on Keith Urban. The country singer reportedly was not happy about how she described her experiences filming roles for Babygirl and A Family Affair.
According to RadarOnline, Keith Urban felt disappointed about the way that Nicole described her onset experiences as being”so turned on.” In the movie Babygirl, Kidman plays a CEO named Romy who involves herself in an affair with a much younger intern played by Harris Dickinson. A Family Affair also deals with a large age gap, with her onscreen love interest being Zac Efron. “He was tired of hearing her rave about her sexual reawakening and animal attraction to her costars and has been living his own life,” a source said.
Kidman had been very open about the intensity of filming the intimate scenes. In an interview with The Sun, Kidman said, “There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. It’s like, ‘Don’t touch me’.There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm any more. Don’t come near me. I hate doing this.”
A source told Page Six, “Keith didn’t like the film and he didn’t even like Nicole promoting the movie,” an insider told the outlet. In fact, sources indicate Urban feared he would be mocked due to the film’s plotline.
Urban’s upset seemed to be evident when he appeared to end an interview on Australia’s Mix 102.3 Hayley & Max in the Morning early when he was asked about this very thing.
“What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?” the host asked. ”I think his team hung up on us because they didn’t want us to ask that question,” the producer then chimed in. “He’s gone, see you Keith.”
The other co-host then remarked that they “upset” Urban because he “doesn’t like the personal stuff.” The singer, however, denied dropping the call.
After she filed for divorce on September 30, 2025 and rumors swirling of Urban romancing his bandmate, RadarOnline.com reported that she’s seeking a “revenge romance” and that might involve former fiancé Lenny Kravitz. “Nicole and Lenny go way back,” a friend of Kidman said. “What they had was real love, and that connection between them has never really faded. People who know them both say the spark is still there.”
“Both Lenny and Nicole are single now, so it feels natural for them to reconnect,” a source close to the singer said. “He’s been open about wanting to find his soulmate – maybe this is the right moment for them to make it work.”
