It seems like Tom Cruise doesn’t miss a beat. The actor, who just split from his girlfriend, Ana de Armas, has some people wondering if he’s already moved on. And if he did, we’re just going to say that was pretty fast if we take into account that reports indicate Ana de Armas decided to end the relationship in the first place.
Cruise was seen at the London premiere of The Running Man, which stars his Top Gun: Maverick co-star Glen Powell, and in an image shared from the premiere, he is standing next to the movie’s star, Emilia Jones. And that could just be a coincidence, but Jones also posted the image with Cruise to her own Instagram page. Which, of course, means people are speculating.

Jones is 23 and best known for her role in the film CODA and the Netflix series Locke & Key. Cruise, meanwhile, is 63, so that would be quite an age difference.
Recent reports had indicated Cruise was not taking the breakup with De Armas well. A source described the breakup as “a collision between her freedom and his relentless discipline.” They added, “Ana’s very independent. She wanted a genuine relationship, not something that felt like an arrangement. Eventually, she began ignoring his calls for days, and that’s when everything started to unravel.”
Perhaps that explains why there could be an attempt to quickly move on. “He’s going around saying he was the one who ended things, but it’s clear he’s in pain,” a longtime friend of Cruise said. “One day, he insists it’s her loss, the next he’s wondering if he’ll ever meet someone who really gets him. He’s uneasy, isolated, and overthinking everything.”
“He doesn’t like it when things fall apart unexpectedly,” one source explained. “This relationship wasn’t just another Hollywood fling — he really saw a future with her.”
Us Weekly reported that the breakup was “Ana’s decision,” after she reportedly became “uncomfortable” with the pace. “Things were moving fast and she started to get a little uncomfortable with how fast it was going,” a source confirmed to the outlet.
All of this comes after RadarOnline.com reported that Cruise’s ex, Nicole Kidman, who recently filed for divorce from Keith Urban is ready to enter her “revenge romance era.” Not that she has any plans to try her luck again with Cruise. Instead, reports indicate she might want to rekindle the flame she once had with former fiancé Lenny Kravitz. “Nicole and Lenny go way back,” a friend of Kidman told the outlet. “What they had was real love, and that connection between them has never really faded. People who know them both say the spark is still there.”
Cruise and Kidman were married for 11 years and announced their divorce in February 2001, so perhaps Cruise won’t exactly be taking inspiration from Kidman’s relationship decisions post-divorce. But on the other hand, the saying does say “new love drives out old love” and it seems like Cruise does have something to get over.
