After Andrew Mountbouten Windsor‘s titles were stripped, the next question is whether he and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will be held accountable for their connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

According to royal biographer Andrew Lownie who wrote his biography Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, he and his wife will be left scathed. “Andrew is going to be charged with various public offences and misconduct in public office… he’ll probably go to jail,” the author claimed to NewsNation. The case against him is pretty clear. He’s absolutely, he’s toast.”

Despite his connection to Jeffrey Epstein and accounts of sexual abuse, the former working royal “He won’t go down for sex trafficking,” Lownie explained. “It will be for financial impropriety.”

During his trips, Andrew reportedly spent a lot of money on his trips as a trade envoy, preferring to have accommodations in five star hotels when he was abroad. The Metropolitan Police has also publicly said it is “actively looking into” claims that Andrew asked a close-protection officer in 2011 to dig up personal information about his accuser, Virginia Giruffe.

As for Sarah Ferguson, Lownie says that she could be investigated for her charity work. “She’s been basically using charities to make money. So she’s gonna be in trouble there,” Lownie said.

Lownie argues that the ex-couple could avoid the consequences of their actions by fleeing the United Kingdom. ”Andrew will end up in the UAE like Juan Carlos and as for Fergie, she will likely go to live in Portugal and Switzerland while maintaining a small presence in London with help from friends,” Lownie said.

“(Ferguson) did get an offer from a billionaire in Bolivia to live for free there, but it’s unlikely she will do that.”

The ex-couple is being pushed out of their house The Royal Lodge. A royal source told Daily Mail about Sarah Ferguson, “The honest truth is that she has nowhere to go and no-one to go with. Her future is hanging in the balance,” explaining that, “People don’t want to be associated with her anymore.”

People recently reported that, “She is going to be moving out and into a separate home,” with a source saying she has never asked for handouts. “Contrary to reports, she has never asked for a property or any provision for herself.” The source also said, “She will continue to forge an independent life.”
