Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Reportedly Spend Time ‘Apart’ as Sources Claim They’re ‘Living Separate Lives’—The ‘Magic’ Has ‘Worn Off’

There could be trouble in paradise for one of The Voice‘s most famous couples as sources claim that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s marriage has been a “talking point” amongst their friends.
Shelton and Stefani met on Season 7 of The Voice in 2014 and confirmed their relationship a year later. They got engaged in 2020 and married in 2021. Fast forward to November 2025, and a source claimed to Star that the two have been spending more and more “time apart” as their inner circle worries if the “magic” has “starte to wear off” on their relationship.
“Gwen and Blake have been spending an awful lot of time apart lately,” the source said. “It’s become a talking point amongst friends and fans that they’re living separate lives. A lot of people think the magic’s started to wear off.”
According to the insider, the main issue in Shelton and Stefani’s relationship is their busy schedules, with Stefani set to start a residency in Las Vegas with her group, No Doubt, in 2026.
“He’s all about the downtime when he can get it these days, whereas Gwen’s got a ton of commitments coming up. The Vegas residency is a big deal — she’s excited about that, but also nervous as it’s a huge challenge. And it’ll mean more time apart from Blake,” the insider said.
A source for Radar Online also echoed similar claims about Shelton and Stefani’s relationship in March 2025. “Now that Blake is no longer tied down with work, he likes to take off on hunting and fishing trips, even though he’s not very good at it,” the insider said. “Hunting and fishing is one of those things I’m never going to master. I’m never gonna dominate the hunting and fishing world, and 99.9 percent of the time I’m gonna lose. I’m gonna fail. And that’s what keeps me hooked.”
The source continued, “Blake enjoys these nature trips and will spend a day or three out in the wild soaking it in. But the game he brings home and the fish that need gutting and cleaning gross Gwen out.”
The source also claimed that Shelton and Stefani disagree over his hobby of hunting. “For him to proudly wave his kill in front of her is unbearable,” the insider said. “She’s made that very clear to Blake, but he brushes her complaints aside – and their relationship is now at breaking point.”
The reports come after Shelton raised eyebrows about his relationship status with Stefani in March 2025 when he released a duet with Stefani titled, “Hangin’ On.” In an interview with Access Hollywood at the time, he seemingly confirmed that the breakup song wasn’t indicative of his and Stefani’s real relationship. ”He promised that the breakup song was “really no reflection of where Gwen and I are in our relationship — I hope,” he said.
Stefani, for his part, shut down rumors she and Blake were divorcing in an interview with Nylon in 2024. “The truth is I am in love with my best friend,” she explained. “When you’re in love and have truly aligned values, nobody can get to us. You can say whatever you want to say about our relationship — I mean, a week ago we were getting divorced again or something. It’s just lies. The truth is the truth, and we know what that is…” she said.
