Kate Middleton and Queen Camilla just reunited in public for the first time since their awkward moment with Melania Trump at the first lady and President Donald Trump’s State Visit in September 2025.
Kate and Camilla‘s reunion occurred at The Cenotaph in London on November 9, where they both attended the 2025 National Service of Remembrance, along with their husbands, Prince William and King Charles. In photographs from the event, Camilla could be speaking to Kate from a balcony as they watched their husbands lay wreaths in honor of those who lost their lives in war. According to a lip reader for Express, Camilla could be seen shuffling the order of the service in her hand as she muttered the word “wow” to Kate.
Kate and Camilla’s public appearance came two months after their awkward moment with Melania at the Trumps’ State Visit, where Camilla was accused of shooing away Kate to speak to Melania on her own. After the moment, a source told Radar Online about how the incident “strained” Kate and Camilla’s relationship even more than it was. “Things were strained backstage,” the insider said. “All eyes were on Kate, and Camilla was clearly aware of that. She was furious that the attention had slipped away from her and knew people would gossip about it later.”

The source continued, “It may have looked minor, but Kate took it as being sidelined. After all the effort she has put into proving herself as the future of the monarchy, it was deeply humiliating.”
Another source also claimed to Radar Online at the time that Camilla felt “sidelined” by Kate’s popularity in the UK compared to her. “Camilla feels sidelined, while Kate’s growing confidence and visibility are unsettling her,” the insider said. “Both are aware that the balance of power is shifting – and neither is prepared to step back quietly.”
The source continued, “Camilla worked hard to establish herself after years of criticism, and she doesn’t like the idea of being overshadowed. Kate’s return has been polished, professional and very ‘queenly’ – it’s obvious she’s positioning herself for the future, and that’s making Camilla uneasy.”
The insider also described Kate and Camilla’s feud as “icy” and “impossible to ignore.” “It’s subtle, but it’s there – in which events they attend, how much coverage each gets and even the tone of official briefings. You can feel the competition,” the source said.
