King Charles Health Update Amid Cancer Diagnosis: Is He Still Alive?

It’s no secret that King Charles and his family went through an emotionally turbulent time around the time he was diagnosed with cancer. However, new details emerged of what happened before his diagnosis was announced to the world and his family’s immediate reactions.

According to Robert Jobson’s upcoming book The Windsor Legacy, these details give insight to the King’s frail health. King Charles had been “typically stoical about his mounting levels of pain” before being diagnosed with cancer. The condition reportedly “had worsened so dramatically” that a doctor was summoned.

The pain was so bad to the point that they had to incorporate more medicine. “The king was given morphine (one of the strongest painkillers available), fitted with a catheter and taken to Aberdeen Hospital,” Jobson claimed. “The cancer, however, was not discovered until a few months later, in January last year, while doctors were in the process of treating the king for an enlarged prostate.”

King Charles and Kate Middleton’s simultaneous diagnoses reportedly caused lots of stress for Prince William as he was “shaken to his core.”

Rob Shuter’s Substack ShuterScoop recently reported that the King was “dying” and that his health issues have even forced Prince William to take on more royal duties. According to sources, Charles is “seriously unwell but determined to carry on,” and, “He’s exhausted, but he won’t stop. Every morning he insists on reading his red boxes. He believes his service to the country is his calling — and he’ll keep going as long as he can.”

It lines up with what the heir said on Eugene Levy’s Apple TV+ show The Reluctant Traveler. “I’d say 2024 was the hardest year I’ve ever had. You know, life is sent to test us, and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are,” said William.

As for lifestyle changes, King Charles made a decision to prioritize his health. “Charles now takes regular afternoon naps,” Jobson wrote. “And he’s started having lunch again — often spinach soup — after skipping the meal for most of his life.”
