Ever since Prince Harry reunited with his father, King Charles, for the first time in over a year just a few months ago, there have been questions about whether he would reconcile with his brother, Prince William, next. The two brothers were notoriously close most of their lives, at least until Harry’s move to the US and the subsequent publication of his memoir, Spare, seemed to turn their relationship sour.
But is there a chance the two will meet soon? A behavior expert told The Mirror that the answer is yes, and used Harry’s recent essay, The Bond, The Banter, The Bravery: What It means to be British – by Prince Harry, which he penned in honor of Remembrance Day.

Expert Judi James particularly noted one paragraph in Harry’s essay, which read. “Though currently, I may live in the United States, Britain is, and always will be, the country I proudly served and fought for. The banter of the mess, the clubhouse, the pub, the stands. Ridiculous as it sounds, these are the things that make us British. I make no apology for it. I love it,” pointing out it’s a big sign that Harry is “yearning” to reunite with his older brother.
She said. “‘Though currently, I may live in the United States,’ is the fascinating line though, both for its wording and its use of punctuation.” James went on to explain, “‘Though I now live in the United States’ would be a statement of non-negotiable fact” but Harry’s use of “the word ‘currently’ sounds negotiable, appearing to hint at a return to the UK.”
“It’s a word that leaves things open,” James added, before contextualizing, “‘I’m currently single’ would imply a desire to get married or ‘I’m currently unemployed’ would suggest someone is searching for work.”
“There is a suggestion that in promoting the word so strongly and emphatically here, Harry is implying (perhaps subconsciously) how much he misses his older brother.”
Recent reports indicated a meeting might be in the cards. RadarOnline.com recently reported that William has agreed to meet with Harry for the first time in nearly three years at the behest of his father and his wife, Kate Middleton. But he’s got conditions, with the meeting reportedly taking place “behind closed doors, under lock and key.”
A royal insider explained, “William’s willing to meet Harry, but only if everything happens strictly on his terms. That means no Meghan, no aides, and zero chance of it ending up as content for a documentary or book. He’s deeply wary of being secretly recorded or having his words twisted – the trust between them is completely gone. Harry will basically face being frisked before they talk.”
Those reports also indicate Harry is not the only one who wants a reconciliation. “He’s not heartless – part of him really misses how things used to be, the jokes, the closeness,” the source said, indicating, however, that the trust still needs to be rebuilt between the pair.
If those reports are to be believed, the rest of the family is pushing hard for reconciliation. “Kate often tells him that their mother would be devastated to see them like this. She keeps urging him to rise above it and take the first step. Charles, on the other hand, just wants peace – he’s longing for the day his sons can be in the same room without it turning into a showdown.”
