Donald Trump Gives a Candid Update About Barron’s Personal Life—’He’s Very Meticulous’
In between a lot of different and not-so-great things going on in the White House, and a great deal of new revelations that involve US President Donald Trump, some people have been focused on less important things. Like, where is Barron Trump living? Is it true that the President’s youngest son is living in the White House again? And the people who are interested in that might have gotten their answer.
During a November 2025 interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham to discuss the ongoing White House renovations, the president talked about which of his kids had a particular attention to detail. Bringing up Barron, he said, “Barron’s going to be tremendous at that,” adding, “He’s very meticulous.”

That’s when Ingraham asked where Barron was, since he hadn’t been seen at the NYU main campus since the semester started, and Trump confirmed. “He’s right upstairs,” he replied, adding,” He’s doing a good job.”
It all comes as Barron, who attended his first year of college at New York University’s Greenwich Village campus, commuting from Trump Tower in Manhattan, is said to be “doing a semester” in Washington instead of at NYU’s main campus, where the Stern School of Business is based, according to People.
The outlet reported that Barron Trump is now attending classes at NYU’s Washington, D.C., campus, only a few blocks away from the White House. So, it would make sense for Barron Trump to be living in the White House. However, since it’s been months since the youngest Trump was seen in public and there have been no sightings of him in NYU’s DC campus, some people were still waiting for an official confirmation.
Ingraham brought up Barron again, telling Trump, “A lot of people think he should be the next Trump president … a lot of people are wondering which child …” The US President, however, gave a very diplomatic answer to that question that didn’t involve picking between his children. “You know, in a certain way, they all could,” he responded.
People also reported recently that first lady Melania is very much a hands-on mother. “Melania watches Barron constantly in an effort to be sure nobody messes with him or bullies him, as this is a constant worry with her,” a source told the outlet. “She always knows where he is and what he’s doing.”
That seems to go hand in hand with the idea that Barron Trump is now living at the White House. However, other reports have also indicated Melania Trump doesn’t live at the White House full time, either. So, it’s all very confusing indeed. Presumably, if her son is there, she might also be there for longer periods of time. But also, other than the President saying so, we have no actual confirmation.
The reports about Barron Trump’s college life has been scarce, though according to People, he is already looking ahead and focused on business. “Barron has been actively working on his own financial interests and has spent time with others who he is involved with in that area,” a source said about the youngest Trump.
