Sarah Ferguson is reportedly worried about her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s safety after his titles were stripped. The situation is causing turmoil within the family behind closed doors.

According to sources to The Sun, the former Duchess of Sussex is “leaning on staff” after it was reported that she’s losing her security staff at Royal Lodge, their longtime residence, where they will be kicked out soon.

“Sarah, in particular, is panicking about what comes next, and she is not in a good place,” a source told the publication. “She fears being caught in the crosshairs and is worried about herself and her and Andrew’s daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie.”

However, more emphasis is put on her ex. “But she is particularly fearful for Andrew as she knows he was at the centre of the Epstein scandal. She has talked about ‘dark forces’ potentially targeting him.”

RadarOnline.com reported that he could face criminal charges now that he’s got no titles to protect him. A source told the outlet, “Andrew’s in a very precarious position now. Without the protection his royal titles gave him, he’s more wide open to legal action.”

“The Palace has clearly distanced itself, and he’s been left to deal with the fallout over his links to Epstein alone. He is a sitting duck for law enforcement, and very vulnerable. He should be getting a top legal team in place now.”

Another source added, “Andrew has never been this exposed, both legally and in the public eye. His title once gave him a degree of protection, but that safety net has vanished. If authorities in the U.S. or U.K. uncover new evidence, he’ll be under huge pressure to answer for it just like anyone else.”

“Andrew is going to be charged with various public offences and misconduct in public office… he’ll probably go to jail,” the author of a recent royal biography on Andrew and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, Andrew Lownie, told NewsNation. “The case against him is pretty clear. He’s absolutely, he’s toast.”

However, according to Lownie, Andrew won’t go down for his connections to Epstein or the trafficking accusations. “He won’t go down for sex trafficking,” Lownie explained. “It will be for financial impropriety.” It all ties back to the fact that the former Prince reportedly overspent on his trips as a trade envoy, and not just that, asked a protection officer to dig up dirt on Virginia Giuffre.
