The British royal family hasn’t exactly had the easiest few months. Or past years, if we’re being honest. From King Charles’ cancer diagnosis to the fact that Kate Middleton fought the disease, the health news has already been bad. And then there’s the Andrew drama, which is more consequences of his actions than anything, but that has had repercussions on everyone in the family, particularly amid discussions on why the former Prince was protected for so long.
Now, Queen Camilla’s son Tom, revealed that his beloved dog Maud was “brutally attacked” by another dog and has been left fighting for her life. Tom Parker Bowles shared that while walking his small Jack Russell on Kensington High Street this week, the dog was assaulted by a “vast dog.” Maud is currently in the emergency vet after undergoing surgery to save her life.

“It [the large dog] spotted Maud, dragged the owner off his feet and brutally attacked her,” Tom Parker Bowles wrote. “It was 15 stone, at least. Maud is about 2 stone. I eventually managed to fight off the beast, rolling about on the pavement, and desperately trying to unlock its jaws from her tiny torso. It seemed like hours, but was probably no more than 30 seconds. Maud was very, very seriously injured, and has been undergoing very serious surgery.”
Parker Bowles went on to thank the people who helped him in the moment and Village Vet London in Chiswick whom he says “saved” his dog’s life, adding, “It may all seem a bit sh*t at the moment. But there are so many good people out there. The kindness of strangers is immense,” adding, “Don’t believe all the cr*p about London. It’s still the greatest city on earth and I’m so very proud to be a Londoner.”
The scary moment comes as recent reports about the King’s health have been concerning. Rob Shuter’s Substack, recently reported that the King is “dying” and his health has forced Prince William to carry out more royal duties. According to Shuter, Charles is “seriously unwell but determined to carry on,” with a source saying that, “He’s exhausted, but he won’t stop. “Every morning he insists on reading his red boxes. He believes his service to the country is his calling — and he’ll keep going as long as he can.”
Reportedly, preparations are already underway. RadarOnline said, “The palace is desperately trying to downplay the seriousness of His Majesty’s illness,” adding, “But Charles knows it’s the end, and so do his sons. William is formally making plans for his version of the future of the monarchy – with or without Charles’ blessing – and making his own decisions as king.”
The reports even indicated the King has been personally involved in plans for his funeral, and wants it to be big. “There will be no expenses spared,” another insider claimed. “He hasn’t been king for long, but he’s been a loyal servant for over 70 years.”
