Eugenie ‘Urged’ by Harry to Move to the US After ‘Threat’ From ‘Power-Hungry’ William—She Fears She’s on the ‘Chopping Block’ Next
The scandal surrounding the former Prince Andrew has left the British Royal family in a very weird place. There have always been people skeptical of the monarchy at large, but there has also been a fair amount of support for its existence, at least as a symbol. Now, that last bit of support is being somewhat eroded due to Andrew’s numerous scandals, his connection with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and the fact that he never really faced any consequences for it.
And, one way or another, the duty of making the monarchy more palatable going forward will not fall to King Charles, but to Prince William. Now, there are reports that his desire to clean up the monarchy might extend to his cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters.

National Enquirer is reporting that Eugenie has leaned on her other cousin, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle in this difficult time, and that she might even be considering a move to the United States. “Eugenie by no means wants to turn her back on the monarchy, but it’s very uncomfortable for her in London at the moment,” a source said. “So Harry and Meghan have been urging Eugenie to break out of the royal bubble and spend more time in America.”
But that’s not all, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who moved to the US in 2020 after stepping down as senior royals, have even reportedly offered to find Eugenie a job—either on the Invictus Games or Markle’s As Ever brand.
“Harry and Meghan have both said they could absolutely make a place for her,” the source added. “Even if she just wants a break to come and relax, they’ve told her they would both love it.”
“Eugenie’s feeling very vulnerable,” the source also said. “While she’s not on the chopping block herself yet, Eugenie feels she ought to start preparing just in case.”
All of this comes after RadarOnline.com recently reported that the King and Prince William used the threat of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie being cut off from the royal family completely to get Andrew Mountbouten-Windsor and Fergie to accept stepping away from royal life and vacating Royal Lodge.
“The signal couldn’t have been clearer,” one royal source told the outlet. “Beatrice and Eugenie would be protected – but only if Andrew stood down. Their titles, positions and future roles were very much part of the discussion,” with another source adding, “It wasn’t presented as an ultimatum, but the meaning was obvious – it was basically a bribe, but put in the most polite language. Had Andrew continued to dig in, the King and Prince William would have been forced to look at broader changes for his daughters.”
Not so recently, Omid Scobie – who co-wrote the 2020 bestseller Finding Freedom, about Harry and Meghan leaving the royal family – has begun promoting his book Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival, and on it, the picture that emerges about King Charles and Prince William is anything but good. The blurb for the book describes it as a “penetrating investigation into the current state of the British monarchy – an unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image, and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family.”
Will another royal be leaving the family now? We will have to wait and see.
