There have been numerous reports since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attended Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party. In fact, we’ve gotten to the point where the narrative is getting hard to follow. For now, the facts as we know them are this: Harry and Meghan partied it up, took pictures with the Kardashians, and then, when those pictures were posted on social media, requested they be taken down.
Now, reports indicate that Kim Kardashian “caught” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in a lie about the photo scandal. As people were scrambling to explain why the pictures of the two had been deleted, reports emerged that Harry and Meghan checked a “No Photos” box in a consent form for the party. However, sources are now saying there were no consent forms.

Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop is saying there’s no truth to the consent forms report. “There were no consent forms [for Markle and Harry]. Moreover, there was no consent form for the other celebrities present at Jenner’s milestone birthday celebration. “Not for them. Not for anybody,” the source said. “Total fiction.”
The gossip journalist indicates sources close to Harry and Meghan are saying nothing, but the journalist did quote some Hollywood sources as saying this is “the saddest peek yet” into how curated the bubble Harry and Meghan are living in is. Ironically, this is being said as if the bubble the Kardashians live in isn’t curated too. And very, very public as well. But this is the way of Hollywood feuds.
Kim Kardashian is reportedly not happy about the whole matter. The Daily Mail reported that ‘Kim is pissed off’” about the request to take the pictures down, quoting a source as saying, “Kim was like ‘you’ve already been papped outside and you were at the Baby2Baby event the same night being photographed like Meghan Trainor and Paris Hilton, so what’s the problem?'” Not just that, the outlet is reporting that this slight “won’t be easily forgiven.”
ShuterScoop had previously reported about the request, “They were polite but firm—nothing goes online without their sign-off,” according to a source. “They’ve built their brand on control, and they weren’t about to let a Kardashian post ruin that.”
Plus, the whole thing reportedly didn’t just upset Kim. “Kris doesn’t like being told what to do—especially not by royals who live in Montecito,” a source said. “She said if Meghan and Harry want control, they can have it—just not on her guest list.”
But was the picture thing the only thing that upset the Kardashians? ShuterScoop also reported that there was a “total vibe clash” between Markle and Kim Kardashian, the kind that would have prevented them from being friends in the first place. “Kim doesn’t do take-backs. If you show up to a Kardashian production, you’re part of the machine.” Then, “Meghan tried to rewrite the narrative — and Kim hated that.”
It gets more explicit. Reportedly, Kim tried to get Markle to record a greeting for The Kardashians show. Markle “politely but icily” declined. “Kim took it as a snub,” a source said. “She felt Meghan acted like Buckingham Palace had arrived — and that goes down badly in Calabasas.”
To be honest, we didn’t expect these people would be friends in the first place, so we can’t say we’re shocked to see they’re not getting along.
