Ever since Prince Harry and King Charles met a few months ago, there have been reports that a meeting between Harry and his older brother might be in the cards. At first, it seemed a little like hopeful thinking from people who really wanted to see the brothers reconcile. But recent reports indicate that the meeting between William and Harry is finally happening.

Sources tell RadarOnline.com that William bringing up Harry during his appearance on Eugene Levy’s AppleTV+ series, The Reluctant Traveler was no coincidence, but instead an “olive branch” and that William has “finally caved” to pressure to set up a meeting. During the show, William spoke about the changes he hopes to makes to the monarchy, saying, “I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past Harry and I had to grow up with,” and adding, “I’ll do everything I can to make sure we don’t regress in that situation.”

The outlet reports William is “finally coming around to the idea of truce talks” after repeated pleas from his father, King Charles, and his wife, Kate Middleton. But reports indicate whatever happens next will be on William’s terms. “There’s no way he’s willing to pick up the phone and do this casually,” sources said. Instead, according to reports, any meeting “would need to be a supervised discussion, handled with total discretion.”

All of this comes amid reports from the same outlet that a lot of people involved with the British royal family don’t trust Harry. “A lot of courtiers still don’t trust him an inch,” said the source. “And they think it’s crucial for William to stand his ground and stay far away from the Sussexes.”

William has reportedly been on that same page for a while. “He’s made it known time and again that he doesn’t approve of how easy-handed Charles has been with Harry and Meghan,” an insider said. However, both the King and Kate Middleton have pushed William for a reconciliation.

“There’s only so much resistance he can put up against his own wife and father, who are telling him in no uncertain terms that enough is enough and it’s high time for peace,” particularly considering that his father is still battling cancer and his wife just went through a cancer battle of her own.

Royal insider Ian Pelham Turner told The Mirror that King Charles and Prince William have discussed Harry’s return to royal life. “My feeling at the moment is because of Charles’s cancer diagnosis that all these negotiations perhaps, for example, with Harry have been accelerated,” he explained. “So I think why all of this has happened now is that William has been placated about Harry coming back into the fold by getting rid of Andrew. There seems to be accelerations at the moment. One acceleration is bringing Harry back. And the second acceleration is getting rid of Andrew.”

RadarOnline.com had previously talked about William’s conditions for a meeting. “William’s willing to meet Harry, but only if everything happens strictly on his terms. That means no Meghan, no aides, and zero chance of it ending up as content for a documentary or book. He’s deeply wary of being secretly recorded or having his words twisted – the trust between them is completely gone. Harry will basically face being frisked before they talk,” a royal insider reportedly said.
