There were always going to be repercussions to the recent decision by the British royal family to do damage control and put as much distance as possible between themselves and the former Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. And those repercussions were always going to be felt more keenly by those closest to them, like their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
But how are the two handling their parents’ fall from grace? And what do Andrew and Fergie expect from their daughters at this time? According to Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop, it’s getting complicated for the two princesses. “They love both their parents deeply,” one palace source said. “But they also understand the Firm moves as a single organism. When the palace shifts, they feel it — and they have to adapt.”

Another insider added, “It’s a loyalty minefield. Every event, every seating chart, every outfit gets interpreted as some kind of signal. They’re trying to stay united, stay gracious, and not get dragged into palace politics.”
The outlet also said the sisters are trying very hard to not get involved in any drama. “They’re doing everything they can to stay above the drama,” a courtier explained. “But right now, they’re navigating their trickiest chapter yet.”
All of this comes after reports that Fergie is “massively on edge” and “panicking” over her future and the possibility of losing her daughters.
“She is leaning on trusted staff members,” royal expert Helena Chard told Fox News Digital. “Her nerves are frayed. She is shaken to the core by the loss of her royal safety net. She fears further humiliation and worries that the serious allegations will affect her girls’ standing. The couple’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, have distanced themselves from their parents’ scandals.”
That’s not all. “Sarah has made it well known among her staff and others that she no longer believes in Andrew and is preparing to go her own way after years of loyalty and public defense of her ex-husband. She’s described as ‘massively on edge’ and ‘panicking’ about her own future. While Sarah and Andrew are currently both still residing in Windsor, they are reportedly sleeping at different ends of the sprawling Royal Lodge. They do get together to discuss their respective uncertain futures.”
All these reports of a break from Andrew come after suggestions Ferguson could relocate to Portugal to live with her daughter Eugenie, or to the US to get away from the scrutiny. Though, with her daughters reportedly distancing themselves from her and more and more information about Epstein’s connections coming out in the US, neither of those sounds like a good option at this point.
Either way, it doesn’t look like Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie can do anything other than keep their distance and hope there isn’t anything worse coming in the pipeline about their parents. But whatever happens, it looks like their chances of ever been front and center in the royal family have, at this point, shrunk to zero.
