Justin Trudeau & Katy Perry’s Holiday Plans After His Ex-Wife & Mother of His Kids Confessed She Was ‘Triggered’ by Their ‘Public’ Romance
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau might not have been dating for a while, but their relationship seems to be going full steam ahead. Proof of this is new reports that the two are already planning their holiday season together. When you’re ready to spend Christmas together, you know things are serious.
People reports that the singer and the former prime minister are “making plans for the holidays.” The couple will finally be able to have some alone time during the holiday season, with Perry said to be “looking forward” to wrapping her tour.

“Without exaggeration, this year has been a whirlwind for her,” a source said. “She hasn’t even had time to really think about her life after the tour.” And with the time off, Perry is said to be focusing not just on her new romance, but on her daughter, Daisy Dove, whom she shares with her ex, Orlando Bloom.
“She’s a single mom now, and a lot of that is going to come into focus next year,” the source also said.
As for Perry and Trudeau, the two are reportedly spending time together “when they can.” “Justin keeps making a big effort to see her, and she’s excited about it,” the source said, adding that Perry “has a lot of fun with him” and their romance is “exactly what she needs right now.”
Perry isn’t the only one who’s happy about the romance, with the source also saying that Trudeau “is a much happier person now” and adding, “Stresses are greatly diminished. And he is intrigued with Katy. They have fun together, laugh a lot, talk about everything.”
Busy schedules are a problem, but the two “make time for each other and have a really strong connection,” according to the insider. “Katy didn’t expect to fall for somebody so soon, but Justin checks all the boxes. He has a great sense of humor, he’s charming and treats her with respect.”
Trudeau’s ex-wife, Sophie Grégoire, recently spoke about the romance and how she was dealing on the podcast “Arlene is Alone,” saying, “You know, we’re human beings and stuff affects us. Normal,” adding, “How you react to stuff is your decision. So, I choose to try to listen to the music instead of the noise.”
She also confessed she’s “very aware that a lot of public stuff out there can be triggers.” But Trudeau’s ex also added that, “what I do with it is my decision. The woman I want to become through this is my decision.”
Grégoire also confirmed that, despite their breakup, Trudeau was still very much involved in raising their kids. “I’m definitely not a single mom,” Grégoire said. “I have a partnership with a father who has such deep love and availability to his children.”
Trudeau and Perry were first rumored to be dating very soon after Perry broke up with her ex-fiancé, Orlando Bloom, in July 2025. After the two were spotted having dinner together, Trudeau attending one of Perry’s concerts. It wasn’t until months afterwards, however, that the two stepped out in public together, confirming their relationship as they held hands outside the Crazy Horse in Paris for Perry’s birthday in October 2025.
